SSC - Spontaneous Starcraft Combustion

Has anyone else ever had a retail Starcraft cd explode inside their drive?

Just wondering, i was on second last terran mission in single player.

Seriously? What's your drive's maximum speed?

Starcraft blew up in your drive? good. take it as a sign from god that he wants you to play better RTS's.

My cousin's FF8 disk 2 broke in his Playstation while playing it. That's sorta close. And Starcraft is one of the best RTS's I've ever played. The ending so left it open for a sequel and I can't wait.

Better RTS's? They make those? Man even if you don't like StarCraft you have to admit that is at least the most diverse RTS at least when it comes to how each races works. I can't think of a single RTS that makes you adapt such totally different methods for each of their races.

CDs just have a point where they can't take any more abuse from the drive. I believe there are ways to slow down the read speed, but I don't know how.

I think I saw something like this on MythBusters. I can't remember the number off-hand but I think if you've overclocked a CD drive, and use a CD too much, it can shatter.
