Atomic Robo Art

Well, it took a LOT longer than I meant it too, but my website is back up.

Check it out –lots of new artwork, and a totally new look. Loads of ROBO stuff.

There is still a lot of work to be done and refinements to be made to the website. But its roadworthy, so here we go.

When I went to the site (Very awesome and stylistic I might add) I just got the feeling of Rocketeer... and lo and behold you make mention of that wonderful movie back when Disney actually cared to produce quality stuff.

Just tell me when I can buy and make it soon before I die from being starved from awesomeness....
Being on these forums does that to you ya know...

Starves you for awesomeness? Oh dear!

Hear that Brian? Maybe I should start drawing 8-Bit as well. :p

Of course . . . now that I've said that, I am TOTALLY gonna have to do some sort of 8-Bit sketch.

I'm curious to know how you and Brian got together to collaborate on Atomic Robo. And how did you score a cover from Oeming?

Again, I like your art a lot, it's got the kind of style that really apeals to me.

Funny story. Turns out two different parties had hired us to assassinate the same industrialist. Boy, were our faces red when we figured that out. It didn't take much to put two and two together as we both went for the classic Disguise Oneself As The Maid ploy.

Apparently, while we were brawling for the right to murder this poor (rich) sap, Oeming snuck by and finished the job himself. That this guy had three different super secret comic book assassins after him speaks volumes of his character.

Anyway, Oeming was a little sloppy, so Scott and I put aside our differences -- the job was done, so there was nothing to fight over -- and helped him clean up.

The rest, they say, is history.

Its all true.

You left out the part about the speedboat chase and the ex-KGB triple-double agent who tried to seduce us and then kill us. I told him though, I just couldn't fall for a man with a lazy eye and a facial tick.

I assume that was omitted for brevity.

Well, we don't want to bore the people with every little detail.

You had Jack Bauer after you?
And yes, you really need to draw some 8-Bit by bribing Brian or something to let you help out in some way..

Pssst!
I hear his weakness is Tau but you didn't hear that from me.

Kurosen 11-30-2006 01:03 PM

If Scott hadn't sold his Tau army the week before that mission to fund his debilitating cocaine habit, that'd work.
