What's your favorite soda?

Note that I'm only posting this thread because I'm really bored and I want to see how many people will respond AND how many people will go off topic.

What's your favorite soda? I like Pepsi.

Stover 01-28-2004 09:54 PM

IBC Rootbeer.

reality_deviant 01-28-2004 09:55 PM

Surge fo' life....it is gone, but not forgotten.

safetysteal 01-28-2004 10:11 PM

I dont drink soda much except about once a week when i get fast food, because who can resist fountain soda? But getting to the point... I like Mountain Dew

Stabbitty Death 01-28-2004 10:14 PM

I bet the light warriors like mountain dew...
But I like A&W root beer. Yummie...

pochercoaster 01-28-2004 10:20 PM

Anything with sugar is usually good, but I like Cream Soda best.

AerodynamicHair 01-28-2004 10:24 PM

Hmm, definetely mountain dew, though IBC root beer is a close contender. I guess it depends on the day of the week.

Oh yeah, if you wanted to see how many people went off topic, you shouldn't have told us. A watched pot never boils, my friend.

Atronflame 01-28-2004 10:27 PM

Mountain Dew, with Jolt Cola coming in close behind. Damn man, me and my cousin drank that stuff... I got a sugar high, he got a sugar low. We were walking around in this neighborhood and he felt like throwing up. Almost did, but no. Just had to piss really bad. >_>

Was great stuff. :D

Then how come mine did?... I'm only watching along the thread I started up, popping in when necessary.

Forever Zero 01-28-2004 10:29 PM

I would say a tie between IBC Cream Soda, and Dr Pepper. I don't drink a lot of soda, but those two are most definitly my favorites of all the sodas.

lymerion 01-28-2004 10:51 PM

I like Mountain Dew, with just about any root beer (A&W, Barq's, IBC) in a close second.

Krylo 01-28-2004 10:53 PM

Hrm... I like Mt. Dew and IBC Rootbeer by themselves, and either Mr. Pibb or Dr. Pepper to go with fast food.

IHateMakingNames 01-28-2004 10:55 PM

I like Coca Cola... How am I the first one to say Coke...

Outbounder 01-28-2004 11:01 PM

I like Dr. Pepper. It's even better with a bit of vanilla when I get a fountain drink.

CelesJessa 01-28-2004 11:03 PM

Vanilla Pepsi ^_^ I'm a sucker for anything vanilla. ^_^

Stover 01-28-2004 11:26 PM

Ehh, I didn't like Vanilla Coke too too much. I'll drink it before a lot of other stuff, but its still ok.

The real reason I'm posting is becuase dnL is a close second to IBC Root Beer, which reigns supreme above all.

Death Dealer 01-29-2004 12:19 AM

Orange Soda, closely followed by Strawberry Soda (Yum) Pepsi and Sprite.

Sado-Yasha 01-29-2004 12:44 AM

I used to drink Mountain Dew, but I've kind of moved out of the soda pop phase. My brother drinks Mountain Dew by the liters though. I still can't believe how much pop he can go through in a week! My mom on the other hand used to be an occasional Dr. Pepper drinker. Now that she's got problems with her blood sugar, she stays away from pop too.

And someone mentioned Surge? Whatever happened to that stuff? I only vaguely remember it, and then suddenly it's not there anymore?

Anarchy_Balsac 01-29-2004 01:21 AM

barq's root beer, and RC cola. 7up if i'm going lemon-lime. between the first 2 i can't decide which is better

VideoDrone 01-29-2004 01:46 AM

Mountain Dew all the way. Although for a little variation there is some Dr. Pepper and Fanta pinneaple in my fridge, both excellent choices.

Because coke is kinda like the vanilla ice cream of soda. It can taste good, but is just the basic flavor and is passed up for sodas with all kinds of flavors and stuff.

Apletto 01-29-2004 09:00 AM

Dr Pepper. Pibb is close, Cherry Coke comes next, but Dr Pepper reigns supreme. Not only is it sooooooo good, it is consistently good(even though different) all over the US, and in the UK.(Dr Pepper bought in America tastes good in Canada, but I've never bought groceries of any kind in Canada)

Dr Pepper is the nectar of the gods. Despite popular belief, Dr Pepper Co. doesn't 'make' Dr Pepper, it is syphoned up out of never-ending vats in the earth where it is refilled by angels who make it in heaven. Anyone who tells you different is a hellspawn.

I drink somewhere around 300-400 oz in a slow week.

Mental-Rectangle 01-29-2004 10:47 AM

I'd probably say plain Coke for first, Dr Pepper second, and plain Sprite third. Those "experimental" drinks are nifty to try once in a while, but you get tired of them. The basic shit has the most staying power.

I'd like to mention though, there was a really cool spanish drink I tried a while ago. I don't remember what it was called, but that'd probably deserve mention. It was very different.

stuper of thought 01-29-2004 10:51 AM

I'd say Sierra mist is first, coke and pepsi are tied at a close second.

Jack of Spades 01-29-2004 11:08 AM

Mountain Dew The Caffinated God of Soda.

Yes. Hero.

Edit: I also liked Pepsi-Kona.
As far as what's out there, I'm primarily a Pepsi consumer over Coke products or random other brands. Was there a reason for this question, or just curiousity?

Viktor Von Russia 01-29-2004 12:30 PM

I just mix whatever's at the fountain (that's carbonated and not diet) with random proportions. Good stuff.

Ralvuimago 01-29-2004 12:32 PM

Cherry coke followed by reg'lar coke.

Muffin Mage 01-29-2004 12:36 PM

Orange soda, because it's blacktastic.

But, since my mother has outlawed sugary soda, I'm torn between Lime Diet Coke and Vanilla Diet Coke, which actually isn't all that bad. If it weren't for the aftertaste, it would taste like normal coke.

How about next time you get out of your computer chair and do something instead of trolling for spam? I'm letting it go this time, but there won't be another.

Mike McC 01-29-2004 02:05 PM

1) dnL
2) Ski
3) Squirt
4) Dr Pepper
5) Vanilla colas

Them's whats I'se likes.

The_Phat_G 01-29-2004 02:17 PM

It's all about the Dr Pepper baby.

GreatSageCorban 01-29-2004 03:55 PM

Sunkist

Dona Maria 01-29-2004 04:06 PM

cherry coke

MC43 01-29-2004 05:25 PM

I'd have to say Sierra Mist and then Sunkist... With the occasional pop of a Diet Pepsi, but I can't get enough Sierra Mist. Wired enough, I dislike the taste of Sprite. I'll drink it, but I like SM better... go fig.

Deathosaurus Wrecks 01-29-2004 07:36 PM

Coke i guess. ill drink pretty much anything to keep the jitters away, but coke is always the most abundant beverage in the appartment.

Rhianwen 01-29-2004 07:36 PM

Diet Pepsi! Couldn't live without my Diet Pepsi. Regular Pepsi, and even Coke, are far too sugary for me most of the time (if I'm going on a sugar-beverage-binge, it's a Slurpee), but Diet Pepsi is happy! ^_^

Lost in Time 01-29-2004 07:56 PM

Mountain Dew or Dr. Pepper

Caska 01-29-2004 09:10 PM

Wow, only two diet drinkers! Diet Pepsi's my fav.

If it weren't for diet, I'd never drink pop... Regular is way too sweet.

Atma 01-29-2004 10:30 PM

While I do enjoy most sodas, I find a particular prefrence to Coke. The only soda I ever really disliked is Dr.Pepper.

Oh, and diet sodas are the spawn of the devil. Damn you The Devil Himself!!

JoeCB 01-30-2004 05:21 AM

Jones Soda. Any flavor.
Its the best.
and a midwest thing, though i have seen it in kentucky...

Sakae 01-31-2004 01:13 AM

Orange Slice. So good and delicious.

it's not exactly a midwest thing. I live in Washington state you could get Jones soda here. at least in the area i live in anyway.

CheshireThief 01-31-2004 02:29 AM

My favorite is Diet Coke, followed by Diet Pepsi and then any kind of Root Beer. And you can find Jones Soda all over here in Alabama!

Bezo 01-31-2004 03:31 AM

Favourite REAL soda: Coca-cola
Favourite fake soda: Diet Pepsi

Diet Coke is disgusting.

e-man2001 01-31-2004 11:56 AM

definitely without a doubt ALE-8one.
I doubt many of u will know it as it is only sold in central and norther KY. But its a sort of ginger ale... with caffeine and sugar.
Its my JOLT!

though jolt, pepsi, cherry coke, and sprite are all good too :)

Minion 01-31-2004 01:04 PM

meh, pepsi, mountain dew, dr. pepper, iced tea in a can, i really dont care, long as im not thirsty anymore :P

Indigo 01-31-2004 01:50 PM

I'll go with Mello Yellow or Sprite Remix. I had a Green Apple soda that was pretty good too...

while on the subject of ginger ale, the best ginger ale i've had is produced by thomas kemper. reason is it has bite from jamacan ginger.

Calithad Wolvendo 01-31-2004 06:21 PM

I'm a hard core Mt. Dew man. And not Code Red Mt. Dew or the Orange Soda Mt. Dew(though that was good and conseptualy sound) but the real deal Mt. Dew....Great now I'm thirsty for Mt. Dew.

Peace
D-san

Biran 01-31-2004 06:43 PM

You can get a Jones soda almost anywhere. I live in Canada, and they have it here in British Columbia, and my uncle stocks up on them, has a whole pack all the time in his refridgerater, and he lives in Manitoba.

My fav would have to be... ah, I'll say Sprite or 7-up, not much difference between them.

Minor Dizaster 01-31-2004 07:11 PM

I live on Dr. Pepper. It's like, the perfect cross between Cherry Cola and Root Beer(my favorites before it).

And while we're talking about regional sodas, has anyone ever tried Cheerwine? It's like Cherry Cola, but with more cherry mixed in. I've only ever found it in North Carolina. I have relatives there, and I always stock up on it before I leave.

Has anyone tried Grape soda? It's my favorite fruit drink.

So...

1. Dr. Pepper (booya)
2. Cheerwine
3. Grape soda
4. Root Beer
5. Cherry Coke (yes, I'm a coke fan)

pochercoaster 01-31-2004 07:50 PM

I can find Grape Soda everywhere, and I live in Ontario. Grape drinks always make me feel sick though =/

Vash the Lazy 02-01-2004 01:25 PM

Mountain Dew. That stuff is awesome.

Oh yeah. Cheerwine is the stuff. Only sold in the Carolinas, I know tons of people who live other places who have people from here bring it with them anytime they go to visit. It's like Cherry Wine Soda, without alcohol. It's the shit. Not quite the DP though.

E-DuB 02-01-2004 06:07 PM

it's has to be A&W. Just nothing can compare with it

Dynamite Kid 02-03-2004 06:47 PM

I miss Crystal Pepsi...

Best soda (United States): Sun Drop - it's from right near my old hometown, and tasty.

Best soda (United Kingdom): Tango - so very tasty.

Overall, UK soda varieties taste better than their USA counterparts because of the use of sugar as opposed to CRAPPY high fructose corn syrup. Now if they'd lift thew Cuba embargo you would have better soda.

redhead546 02-03-2004 08:12 PM

Am I the only one here who hasn't had pop in over 6 months???? When I did drink pop I liked everything except Moutain Dew (the original kind), Sprite, 7-up, and Sierra Mist. But if I could make any pop flavor, it would be cheese.

Neverfate 02-03-2004 11:24 PM

My fav soda?

I like RC cola. Mixed with other things, it can be the ultimate refreshment.

Sofa_King_Lazy 02-04-2004 02:03 AM

I'll pretty much drink anything...but right now ive got a fridge full of sprite ice, sprite, vanilla coke, coke, and beer. Let's go rebels!

the beer's my parents....im a wussy

SpaceManSpiff 02-05-2004 07:59 AM

Root Beer, Root Beer, Root Beer; I Love Root Beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AnonCastillo 02-05-2004 08:49 AM

What are dnL and IBC? Never heard of them.
Anyway, yeah, they have Jones Soda everywhere, it's definitely not just a midwest thing. I first saw some in Las Vegas over a decade ago.
Anyway, favorite soda? Any of Shasta's better flavors (orange, tiki punch, Dr. Shasta, etc).

Viper Daimao 02-05-2004 11:41 AM

good job staying on topic people, despite what the original poster said.
so i leave you all with this
