As Dezil ran, he saw the cart again, sicne the fog had vanished when the darkness happened. Dezil yelled, "Zero!", and the cart began to move back. Dezil quickly jumped up, pulled the machine chest off of Zero, and said, "Alright, Zero, there is an army of demons from the blackest pit of hell chasing us, so run like you've never run before, got it?!"
Zero took one look back, and in a split second with a paniced *Wark!*, Zero began to get the cart moving. Dezil made his way back with his rifle, quickly equipping the magic parts back on, popping in Thundara again, and charging it. He yelled, "Anyone that needs to escape, run here!" Dezil carefully helpd the few wounded move, and suddenly a group of both good mages and bandits jumped in the cart. One bandit said, "Get this thing moving!" One second later, staring down the barrel of Dezil's gun, Dezil said, "We wait for any more in need, got it?" The bandit nodded, agreeing out of desperation, and Dezil ran to the back, calling anyone else over that needed help, having his gun ready for any demon problems. |
ooc-Heh, Ripel just is making all the right choices.
Oh...damn. Once again he messed up, yet for some reason he couldn't help but not feel unsurprised. Part of him knew that this was going to happen, and it was probably that same part that had kept him from seeing the truth. Deamon.... "DAMN YOU!!!" Indirectly it was his fault, he knew that. However, Deamon was the direct cause of this, and now he was unleashing the demons just summoned onto everyone. Played again...however, I won't let you get away with it. I WON'T! By some miracle he landed by the others, and the closest one being Blyr, he turned to him. "Get everyone, bandit or refugee, away from this place. Please..." Standing up, he brushed himself off, his whole body shaking. He knew what was about to happen, he had seen his father go through the same thing. Right now, he could no longer control himself, and it was all he could do to talk coherently. "Run to Preos, all of you, and take Boco for me. There were no reinforcements, I can see that now. So, you all run there, it will be the safest place. Convince that dick Ciaran to join us if you can. "As much as I'll hate to admit it later on, I can only stall them, and I don't know if...anyway, this man, Deamon, is no ordinary person. We'll need Ciaran's help. "Hurry, run, make sure everyone escapes, or else my nothingness will swallow all of you." |
OOC: Never mind, we get corny way to escape over anti-climantic (sp?)
|
ooc-Well, I simply wanted to get my character to disappear for a while. As you all know, I'll be gone for a few days, so it would be bad for everyone to be waiting for me. Plus, I felt that this would be the easiest way to introduce the Morpher abities.

The bandits were, for the most part, running like the bats of hell were on them. Mainly because the bats of hell were on them... as well as the dogs of hell... the snakes of hell... the cats of hell... and even a few giraffes of hell. A few, however, more humane bandits took the time to scoop up the random refugee child, or to stop and protect someone who had tripped for just a second. They weren't all heartless... not at a time like this at least. It was obvious that if they were going to survive, everyone was going to need to cooperate.

Kairi finally made it to where she and Marche had left their chocobos. Unfortunately, in all of the chaos, somebody had stolen her chocobo and all that was left was Marche's.
Her first priority was Marche's safety, and she knew she could run much faster and for a longer time than Marche could, so she threw him up on the chocobo, ignoring all of his protests, "Do not come back for me." She instructed forcefully, then sent it off running along to safety with Marche with it. The chocobo was faster, but Kairi hadn't trained to be a dragoon all her life for nothing. She was thankful for all of the years of training, they were finally paying off. She kept running as fast as she could, helping other weaker ones along the way. First thing was first, get to safety, then she could worry about finding the others. (OOC: I never get to do the heroic thing very often, so don't accuse me of being melodramatic... I don't get to be heroic very often. Everybody will meet up in Preos, right?) |
After helping in more mages and bandits, one of the mages told Dezil about the new plan. "Alright, the cart is full, time to go. Let's get out of here Zero!"
At the front of the cart, Zero doubled his pace. The now heavily loaded cart was beginning to pose a problem, but Dezil could deal with that later. The cart took off as past as possible, onwards to the city of Preos. |
OOC: I'll do my thing anyway...
IC: The humans screams of terror were quickly brought down by the fangs of demons, being torn apart limb by limb, slowly eaten alive. That is how it should have been... Deamon watched as every demon who came from the netherworld gate quickly ran for shade. The netherworld had no sun, just extremely small amounts of artifical light. The sun was still slightly up, even though it was sunset. This small amount of light was enough to burn the skin on the demons. Even the moon light was burning them. Havin been in the human world for years, Deamon had completely forgotten about this problem when he first left the netherworld. OOC: I know it's sunset, but the sun is still barely there, and the moon... |
OOC: ... Okay, that was just sad... Ecurt, post faster in the future...
|
OOC: Yes, I told you it would be. I prefer this then "The demons just got bored and decided to not kill the humans". That, and I forgot it was sunset... I was thinking it was day when I came up with it.
