Woo! Final Fantasy Tactics FTW!

I came across MP3s from that kick ass strategy game for the PSX. And now I remember how it all went down. It's really too bad FFXII exaggerated everything (As with FFTA.)

In FFTA, you got the Vieras, Bangaas, etc. on your side. But in FFT, you have all humans. What's up with the drastic change all of a sudden? Express your thoughts, or be warned!

====================================

By the way, for those who had the Gameshark for the first few years it was out... you could see the secret trailers that were included as PSX Movie files. When Action Replay / New Gameshark versions came out, the movies somehow disappeared.

Character Introductions should have been included in the new FFTA game. (This MP3 was part of the secret movies only accessable by reading the embedded FMV/PSX Movie files on the original disc. Burned/ROMs don't have these avail.)

Uh, I'm not sure if this counts as piracy or not. I'll hold my answer until I know. Can I get a mod descision on this?

Doubtful, BL.net's been around for more than 4 years... nothing's happened yet. Also, basically ALL of the MP3s avail. have some sort of copyright notice about the original composer.

It's just that piracy is forbid on this forum, and I'm reluctant to speak on the subject until I have a mod statement.

Copyright notice or not, I'm gonna have to say unless you can show me the press release where Square declared all its tunes are now in the public domain, this is almost certainly less than legally sanctified.

Iyeru, please refrain from that sort of thing in the future.

Thread left open in cae people still wanna talk about how FFT is awesome, or whatever.

Yeah, it's awesome, I'd say it's possibly my favorite Final Fantasy, but it's still a tie between it and Final Fantasy V, VI, IX, XII and a bunch of the other ones, alas.

But yeah, one of the most memorable things about this game was the music, besides the awesome gameplay and story. I mean Chrono Cross had better music but I really couldn't stand much else about that game.

Anyway, Delita. Probably the best character in a Final Fantasy game in the vein of character development and drama. And the character was pretty cool all around, really. Ramza is good too but he sort've lacks the same amount of twistiness and chaos due to his leading role as "good guy hero who saves the day and is self-sacrificial". The contrast between his and Delita's self-preservation and yearning for power and selfishness (basically how real people act) just causes the storyline to be one of the best, in my opinion.

I had thought so. I wasn't sure, considering sometimes users PM mods and ask about this, and I wasn't sure if it had gone through the right channels.

Anyway.

I didn't play much FFT, but I loved FFTA. I wish they would make a FFTA2 for the DS, considering it's touch-screen and fold-up Sleep mode would be perfect for those pesky red lights.

I'd link to the Penny Arcade, but I don't think it's worth me looking for the episode.

Oh yeah, I loved FFT, but I couldn't really follow the story all too well. That is, until I played a sim based on it (points to his siggy with the link to the FFT sim.) Actually, it is still a little hazy to me, I mostly just enjoyed the combat.

I never played FFTA, but I'll probably get it one day, just out of curiosity, I head many people complain about the laws and ludges though.

Carry whatever bias you want - the fact is I loved the pick-up-and-play aspect of it. I should play the original...never got a chance. I'm not much into Final Fantasy, and it takes a damn good game to catch my interest.
