Stupid enough, no. Cheap enough, yes. In fact, he is cheap enough to allow Black Mage to kill Jeff, then still make everyone use the cannon, just so that he doesn't have to pay.

Can't Thief simply steal the money back from Jeff after he paid him? It can't be that hard, even if he gets shoot out of a cannon in the meantime. Also, Secret of Mana 2 = Win.

The Thing AND Secret of Mana... I love references to random things. Of course, Secret of Mana trumps Fantastic Four by a long shot.

Found the comic I was looking for...

See, Jeff's bad plans are much like BM's, only with less destruction to neighboring planets.

Mystic Pretzel!

I yearn for a big greasy spot on the next comic with the remains of Red Mage. That would be total bliss.
Greasy? As if a guy like Red Mage doesn't wash his hair occasionally.

No, wait. That wasn't my point...

Oh - if they stuff Fightar in the cannon first, the initial explosion won't kill them. Fightar can absorb the traumatic force without being ripped to shreds, acting as a buffer for the other three. Landing? ...eh. He can take it. It's only a lot of dirt he's hitting.

Doesn't Red have featherfall too? Thief can just uncannily dodge the blast radius, and later, dodge the ground.

Hehe, now I've got myself laughing. The Penultimate Ninja move, capable of contorting out of any harm's way: Mystic pretzel!!

The obvious implication in the following comic is that Black Mage is responsible for the extinction of the dinosaurs on our own planet. Which is fantastically, deliciously implicational. Do the 8-bittians live on Mars? Or perhaps some other planet which will later become... dare I say... the debris that we like to refer to as the asteroid belt?

or he can steal the planet and sell it back to everyone in return for the light of the sun while dodging unpure air :D

So...
Fighter just won't die. Get him in the cannon.
RM and BM got featherfall. Cannon for them.
Thief can use his stealing skills to steal the place where BM is after landing, so he'll change places with BM and make BM get thrown out of the cannon again. Then he finds out he's out of spells per day and can't cast featherfall.

I see the solution clearly in front of me.

BM kills Jeff. They loot his corpse.

What then? Who cares, another wanton murder is all BM needs.

shiney 12-15-2006 09:18 PM

I don't think Jeff will die.

Everything that happens, happens to hurt BM.
