OK, so what's the BIG DEAL? It's 2D!

Well, for those of you in the population of the world (about 50+%) who can definately tell the difference (And prefers real over cartoon): Here's a bit of text for you to read (It popped out of my head due to the physics class. Now you'd probably want to say: "Damn you physics!" But I know you can't deny it.)

The only thing I can infer from your post is that you don't like cartoons on general principles.

If I'm correct, I'm sure you can lead a happy life without it and wish you all the best on your cartoonless path. Now please let people discuss their preferences in cartoons in peace. Thank you.

Uh, no. You saw my posts about Onegai Teacher and Happy Lesson, right? Well I do like to watch them for the storyline once in a while. It's the same for the simpsons. But people just don't like them "flat out." That's what really bugs me.

Meister 12-16-2006 12:15 PM

In that case, sorry. But I really can't tell what's your point. ^^;;

Sometimes, that's the only thing that makes me unique.

well this thread is useless,if you dont like cartoons then just dont watch them :P

M'k'n'zy 12-17-2006 12:36 AM

So basicly you are saying that some people dont like animation because of its two-dimentional nature? I have to say I dont really understand that.

Magus 12-17-2006 12:37 AM

HAHA PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THEM "FLAT OUT" WAHAHAHA...okay pun accepted. I assume that it was a joke of some sort. So what was the point of this topic?

If you're referring to how anime character's faces are drawn in an attempt to shadow in the nose and also the mouths from the side that are for some reason put back a bit instead of actually gapping into the air., I get what you're saying.

It's hard to explain but technically I think they do that for a 3D effect.

...No, seriously. If David Bowie does not receive an explanation for this thread in GODDAMN ENGLISH I'll be forced to close it.

M'k'n'zy 12-17-2006 12:46 AM

Honestly, I have to admit I am still trying to figure that out.
