It's like they Samuel L. Jacksonified Samurai X.

Not to say that's a bad thing -- Let's hope it's not completely Lone wolf v. Cliche Villain v. Zealot Organization, and get some actual character in there, or else I'll just stack it with pseudo-comedy gorebeatdown (Which I can enjoy, just not as much.)

Stupid random marketing ploy. Will last three or four episodes and go the way of the Pamela Anderson animated cartoon Spike had where she plays a stripper/secret agent (HAR HAR "AGENT 69" HAR HAR).

Then again it has Jackson, people will watch it simply for how silly it is to have Jackson play a samurai.

Magus, there's only 5 episodes to begin with. All they've done is dub an existing anime. This isn't an american take on japan-ime.

after finding out his name,(Ninja Ninja)I freaking HATEthe sidekick guy.

OHHH, well, you'll have to forgive me for being mistaken. The horrors of Stripperella still exist in my head.

Hey, I don't blame you. The only way I know is through being the kind of guy who looks everything up on Wikipedia. If you didn't do that, I can definitely see where you're coming from.

That show gave me nightmares :gonk:

Well so far I like it, especially since its going to be only 5 episodes long. No offense against the series, but trying to stretch it out would have it lose 60% of its value, repitiveness is the enemy of mega gore and comedy alike.

Personally I love it when they do this kind of stuff, and by this kind of stuff I mean take a mostly non-serious anime/kung-fu movie and have famous actors/rappers/whatever do the dubs. Anyone remember Volcanno High? One of my favorite movies, and the dubs played majorly in that, even though I never listen to the people (their music) who did the dubbing and it was on MTV (listing as a negative point, obviously).

I have a question, why hire a someone like Samuel L. Jackson to be the VA of a guy that almost never speaks?

Well I am ok with pointless violence. So I will watch it.

PS my kanji is abit lacking but I think the headband says, I am number 1 (or 2, depending). But I will have to check to be sure.

I think he also provides the voice of Ninja Ninja.
