Saddest Ending..
 

So... what's you're take on the saddest ending in a videogame?

I'd have to say FFX, and yes I suck because I chose a predictable answer. Sue me! ^^ Onimusha was pretty sad too, though..

Uh....hmm....the only sad ending I can think of is the bad ending in Pikmin. Captain Olimar fails trying to get back to his home planet, so he gets turned into a Pikmin. I felt depressed for the rest of the day.

Oh, and awesome avatar BTW.

I need to play more games... but Id have to say for a sad ending, Blurred Line (for Rm2k) would be the best. God that game was awesome.

Another might be Zelda: OoT. Navi had to leave :(

I'm an emotional one (*sniffle* so sue me) so there are several sad endings for me... hmm but which one is the saddest.....

Lufia 2 was pretty sad. Of course I was really young when I beat it...

(that blurred line game was pretty good too. The best fan-made game I've ever played)

Mwarhawr, fear Arty, or he shall move your house back an inch so that you cannot properly insert the key into the lock! Bwah!

Planescape Torment, if you ask me. The main character finds out that he is essentially the reincarnation of the Antichrist and goes off to spend eternity in Hell for the sins of his previous lives, even though he was pretty much a good guy in this one.

I havent beat much games, but the saddest one I beat would be Syphon Filter 2. Teresa dies and the credits happen at her funeral.

Or Links Awakening where for him to get home, he has to destroy the world that he is in now and gay goodbye to all the friends that he made there forever. That was pretty sad.

Yeah but if you didnt die once (like me :D) you see the wind fish with Malon riding it up in the sky. Im pretty sure of it, anyway.

But it was just a dream... >_>

I really don't feel sad for video games, but I shall throw in some endings others might think are sad.

Conker's Bad Fur Day (Because no one will bring this up). Sure he is king at the end, but king of a bunch of idiots, and his girlfriend is dead.

Nightmare's ending in Soul Caliber 2. Locks himself in a cave so no one can ever get the sword again.

That's all I can think of...

Actually, this is what happens: you see a seagull, with a brief flashing of Malon's face. This implies that she turned into a seagull, something she has always wanted to be. That ending was pretty sad, now that I think about it. :(
