I dunno...until you said you'd be a 'spell breaker' I really thought you were going to be a wizard-killer. Heavy armor, huge sword, an element usually assosiated with rash actions...but whatever you want.

Mr. Viewtiful 02-03-2004 08:21 PM

That was the basic of the concept of the skill, so those who didn't understand would have an example to look to. I didn't mean it literally...

IHateMakingNames 02-03-2004 08:22 PM

So really he is just a big idiot with a gaint sword and has no real mental spell breaking powers?

Edit - I hope your not turning into Raiden View... Make up a pre relation to try and force her character to like yours (Raiden did this many times with Celes)

Mr. Viewtiful 02-03-2004 08:27 PM

Hahahahaha...right.

My guy is no idiot ( I never said that), he has some power (which I mentioned), and you need to just let things roll, okay?

One more thing: let's let the GM criticize, okay? It's not your guys' jobs to insult people (and their chars) in such a way. It's the GM's job to see that any adjustments are made. You can make suggestions, but I'm sure Ecurt doesn't appreciate people spamming his thread with stuff like "YOUR GUY IS AN IDIOT"

I'm headed out. Have a good night, guys!

EDIT: no way. Being a nice guy is different from being possessinve of somebody else.

IHateMakingNames 02-03-2004 08:29 PM

Obviously everything that is not a GM comment is a suggestion. (Not even sure where you get insulting the people themselves)

And what's the point of having elements with characters when you really don't take it into consideration...

Edit - And the 'big idiot' comment was more of saying 'rash actions' (since he is fire element), but in a simplier way.

Ok, so I guess the sheild would be white magic. And you could construe stat bonuses as either that or black. I got that.
So I guess I'll just go to magic, pure and simple. It works better. So just as long as I stay within the water profile I'm fine then?

Stover 02-03-2004 08:34 PM

Well, this is shaping up to be an interesting little adventure. Or an interesting train wreck, but I'm hoping for the first.

IHateMakingNames 02-03-2004 08:34 PM

Water was balanced, so going all mage you should probably do a mix of defensive water spells, healing water spells, attack water spells, passive water spells, summon water spells, etc. If your going all mage and no fighting that is. (Before you were talking about ulitity magic, which seemed like things that are not white or black...)

Rhuhael 02-03-2004 08:37 PM

I guess, but could we kill the summon and healing for defensive ability with the Shwung-dao Bo? And utility was basically all the passive shiz. But I'll go mage/tinkerer

Oh and btw I heard earlier some comment about polearms, that's what I have. The shwung-dao bo basically is a stick with a blade on the end. So just fyi.

IHateMakingNames 02-03-2004 08:38 PM

For pole arm, he was talking about a weapon for wind people though. Water could use anything.

And sure, just try and keep the 'Balance' idea of water.
