Dezil eyed the heavily armed and strangely dressed woman and said, "Ehem, I don't recognize you from my time in the court. Are you another new addition of Ciaran?"

Krylo 02-07-2004 09:16 PM

Ciaran sighed. "This is what happens when there aren't guards to be sure no one enters. Well... I was able to get more or less out of the way..." Ciaran shot another glare towards the woman. "But I'll be keeping my eye on you."

He then walked out the door. "Let's go, introductions can happen along the way. I sincerely doubt that we have time for idle bantering."

Ren 02-07-2004 09:33 PM

Ren followed Ciaran, almost at his side, scowling slightly.

"Well if it wasn't bad enough with that whole...incident...earlier, now I've got some guy AND you insulting my skills, reputation, and honour."

She blew a strand of hair away from her eyes and crossed her arms, huffing and trying not to grin at Ciaran. She knew he was just teasing her, but it was more fun to play along.

Krylo 02-07-2004 09:38 PM

Ciaran sighed a bit as he walked along the hallway. "No one insulted your skills... and we both know you have no honor to insult... and don't you think you should answer his question as to whether you're a new addition to the court, Lady Irda?" He glanced back at Dezil. "He may not know you, he's not much for court specifics, but he is a genius... make no mistake about that." His voice then dropped to be certain that Dezil couldn't hear him and he leaned closer to Ren, "If he weren't, I'd have killed him for treason by now... but he's responsible for the A/M fields we all enjoy."

Ren 02-07-2004 09:48 PM

She nodded and winked at him surreptitiously.

"Oh, indeed. How rude of me."

She glanced back at the man who questioned her identity.

"I have known Ciaran for quite some time through the bloodsports, but it wasn't until a few years ago that I joined the court through marriage. My husband, unfortunately, passed away. Pity. He was a good man."

She adjusted her gauntlets and kept stride with Ciaran.

Forever Zero 02-07-2004 09:48 PM

Dezil was following along, and indeed had missed Ciaran's last comment. He thought of what it could mean if they found the documents, and what they could find when they get to the Precursor City. He knew that Precursor technology was incredibly powerful and ancient, and could far outclass anything that could be made today, so while he wasn't sure, he knew they would find SOMETHING of use there, and anything that kept him from having to make a Zombification device and that would help hold off Deamon's armies would be helpful.

Dezil heard her say who she was and he said, "Ah. Well, I'm Dezil Terron. I was once an engineer for N'Revat during the war between N'Revat and Rab, but had a... difference of opinion over Ciaran's tactics for gaining leadership and ruling the nation, and turned over to the Resistance. Regardless however, it seems we all need to work together once again."

[OOC:] I'm using different colors to identify opposing thoughts in Blyr's head. It's him doing all the thinking, he doesn't have anyone else ijn his head like Dante with Etrigan :D [/OOC]

"That man sickens me, and his cohort more so." Blyr grumbled to himself, so low even Dezil would have trouble hearing it.

Should we even be compromising with this man? He did anihilate my army, my village, and evidently half of his own city. He seems to care little for morals, if at all. Should I even consider aligning myself with him, even if it's for the greater good?

Think, man! We have a huge army of demons coming our way! If we don't get his help, then the whole continent will be dominated by demons!

Blyr made his decision. I'll help out, only because this is a choice between two evils. Hopefully, I chose the lesser...

Part of the young man's concience died that day.

OOC: ^$*&^^(&#$%^(ing exchanges meeting with time that plot events happening in RPs AND ROYALLY SCREWING UP MY LITTLE PLAN!

Could someone please PM me a summary? So I can find out if my little plan will work?

OOC: Time to jump on in.

BIC: Pain. That's what Cassie's body was wracked with. She was walking through Peros on a journey to find the Rab resistance so she could join them. Her father was slain during the war with the N'Revet, and she had decided to take his place. She was outside Peros when the Death orb was released, but the aftershock was so powerful that she was gravely injured by it. She tried to use her powers to stop time long enough for her to get away, but the shock broke through it like it wasn't even there. She had used up all of her magic trying to contain the blast so she couldn't cast a Cure spell. She stumbled through the forest, leaning on her Time Staff and hoping to make it to the next town to get some treatment, but it wasn't looking good. Her clothes were soaked with blood and she was sure that he righ arm was shattered. When she took a breath, she felt fluid, probably blood, in her lungs. She fell to me knees and coughed up some blood on the ground. Her eyes started to lose focus and she felt dizzy. She looked up, and saw a fuzzy outline of a person. She choked a faint "help" before collapsing.

EDIT: Sorry, I assumed that people survived the blast. I changed it so that I got hit by the after shock.

IHateMakingNames 02-08-2004 10:11 PM

OOC: It wasn't a blast, it was a death orb. If she was in it (Any part of her), she would be dead.
