YOU KILLED OFF ANGUS!!!!!!!!

he was my favorite character in the entire book... i enjoyed many a day where i would annoy the F*** out of my brother singing "ohhhhhhh whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey, ohhhhhhhhhh whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey whisakey.

please explain why so many of the characters were killed off

Kurosen 02-11-2007 08:59 AM

Because that's how it happened.

I actually quite enjoyed the ending, even if I did think that somehow he was going to pull something out of his ass to change the outcome.

When I first read the book, I actually laughed for almost 4 straight hours when I finished it. That was one of the best laughs of my life. Thank you, Clevingerosen.

I was really sad at the end of the book. I dunno, Nuke leaving and almost every main character dead leaving Sparky all alone seemed pretty down.

i was sad at the end but if it wasn't for the ending it would probably be only a mediocre book but because of it and how just grand the ending was it is probably my favorite book

Elminster_Amaur 02-15-2007 05:32 PM

The ending was, overall, the best part of the book.

I wouldn't go so far as to say it was my favorite book, but I put it up there in a category with Wheel of Time numbers 1-6, 10 and 11. That's cause, well, I thoroughly enjoyed the book, but I don't wanna read it again. The ONLY books I've ever reread were all written by McCaffrey. Her Dragonriders series is Classic. Like Tolkien, except not boring.

Other than, say, McCaffrey, Robert Jordan, Ed Greenwood, and Rob. Salvatore, I'd have to say that, Clevinger, you're my favorite author. So, if all of the above listed people died today, you would be the best, at least in my opinion.

That probably doesn't sound very nice, but I'm grouping you with them, and not with Leonard Nemoy and William Shatner. Dear god, why are they allowed to continue writing?!

*Note, if you are reading this and are not Kurosen/Clevinger then replace the instances of "you" with "he/him/she/her/it". I added those other options for those of you who feel like reading the above portion of the post derogitorily. It's like one of them "Choose yer own Adventure" books, in post form, without action.

Ha ha, you have emotions.

Sharmandra 02-18-2007 02:44 PM

It wasnt so big a deal because we had a transition from notdeath to death. I do think the whole Shiro in the wizard outfit thing was too funny to fit in the end though. Also, I thought it was more heroic than sad. SHoulda been a movie, but god knows how most comic movies go.

Well, I liked the ending. I hate those stupid deus ex machina finale's where everything is magically worked out in the end. As much as I loved the book, had it ended like that I would probably have thrown it across the room. Grim? Probably. But sometimes you need the fact that life isn't all sunshine and lollipops.

THORQUE 03-03-2007 06:04 AM

thats why people created fiction books. to take us away from the real world. sure, kill off one character if he wasn't developing but in this, half of the main characters where taken out of the picture in like the last 20 pages of the book.
