Black Mage vs. White Mage
 

If Black Mage likes White Mage so much why does he try to impress her with his destructive powers? If her entire purpose is to heal people, which is the complete opposite of his, then using his powers to destroy things would do nothing more then piss her off. It only creates chaos and madness in their relationship. If he could stop thinking, he would figure out that they are totally opposite and that she will never like him.

Oh ho ho, one would think that. Ladies are tricky however, and typically say the direct opposite of what they want. Most girls say they want a nice guy, but always go for the men that treat them like crap. Black Mage realizes this. The logical type of guy for White Mage to like is a nice doctor/healer chap, however what she really wants is a guy that can completly and utterly destroy the cosmos. Black Mage realizes this and it is simply a matter of time until White Mage comes to realize it as well.

Now, Black Mage is attracted to White Mage because, as he puts it, he casts magic, and she casts magic; he has a thing for girls with red hair, and he thinks she's hot looking. He's just not getting the idea that she doesn't like him. That's all.

Ah, but, see, for Black Mage to realize that she's only interested in constructive, helpful things would require him to think, and use logic. Not gonna happen.

No, no, no. The rest of you guys haven't gotten the idea. Black Mage's logic is perfect and dead on. He realizes that girls typically like the opposite of what they proclaim to desire, and to that end he is attempting to do the exact opposite of what conventional wisdom would dictate White Mage would like(a nice, healing guy). Think outside the box like Black Mage is doing.

However, that part is being brutally stomped on in favour of blind hopefulness. They do say that opposites attract, and BM is just hoping that one day WM will clue in to this. Only time will tell.
