Atomic Robo & Red 5 Comics

Did everyone see the news?!?

How dope is this?

Nique 02-13-2007 10:07 PM

This is totally dope.

"But Scott", the FAQ guy might ask, "I am not used to paying monies for my entertainment-graphical-story-books which are made by Brian Clevinger, nor am I accustomed to the mundane and archaic practice of reading comical-books that are printed on *shudder* paper. How will I adjust to this change?"

And you will answer: "The fans of Bri-an will be my slave... Forever. If not, the millions of earthings they protect shall pay for their defiance. Come and kneel before Zod.. eh... Scott!"

Seriously though, I am really looking forward to Atomic Robo... and Brian was right. You guys are rubbing shoulders with some pretty heavy hitters.

That is amazing news, Scott.

FunkyBlackMage 02-14-2007 07:31 PM

Awesome news. I await the release date of the first issue.

scott wegener 02-15-2007 09:08 AM

Yeah, I would kill my grandmother for a release date right about now. . . if she weren't already dead that is.

Pa-per? What is this, pa-per?

Also, I was under the impression Brian was a heavy hitter in his own right.

I guess, if you compared him to the jillion kids who make Sonic the hedgehog sprite comics?

Sporticus 03-26-2007 10:18 PM

8BT is much more than a sprite comic in the respect of sprite comics.

scott wegener 03-26-2007 11:08 PM

Oh yeah, hey, don't sell 8 Bit short -it solidly places in the Top 5 of all webcomics.

I find most webcomics to be worth what they cost to read -nothing. But 8 Bit, Penny Arcade, Ctrl-Alt-Del, and a fist full of others transend the craptastic masses and are actually really well done.

Oh and Nique, Red 5 is also planning on making Robo available digitally (you'll still have to pay for it, though less than a paper comic).

Mashirosen 03-26-2007 11:54 PM

Wow, Nique. That just might be the bitchiest thing I've read today.
