I'm curious how a system of measurement could be labeled as a lie. It is a system of conducting measurements, not a fact. Therefore it can not be a lie.

I was making a metaphor. Just because a bunch of people think that something is really good does not make it so. I use NASCAR as my example.

The Metric System is a LIE. Quit lying and saying it isn't! I had to endure a half-a-year class about Canadian History in seventh grade, I have a right to complain. Apparently you all made beaver hats for two hundred years and became independent through non-violent petition; what the fuck have you contributed to society?! The only walled city in North America? We Americans blow shit up. Using the master system of measurement. Personally I think Metricites should be culled from the population for the good of Man! It is not too late to repent, however, and be saved from the fiery fires of English System Judgment.

Hmm... your proposal is intriguing, and I wish to learn more. Of course, I doubt that your desire to destroy will save you when the metric system comes to dominate the world and leave Canada in control, but I like your moxie.

Actually, I'm thinking about suggesting to Congress that we annex Canada. It wouldn't really hurt us, and it has two plus sides:
1). America would be the largest country in the world! Take that, Russia!
2). It will make discriminating against Quebec far easier.

Actually, the Canadians had to call in the Brits. The war of 1812 was an interesting war, because the last battle (the Battle of New Orleans) took place after both nations signed a peace treaty in Paris (I think it was Paris). It just takes so long to cross the Atlantic with a sailboat. And an intesting note is this: the Americans won. Sometimes, historians wonder if, say, the peace treay was not signed, but anyways, if the treaty wasn't signed, would America win? And they think that New Orleans was a sign that they might. But whatever.
