Favorite Sport

Er, yeah. So what's your favorite sport? Mine is American football. Not your fairy-faggot international soccer kind of football, but American tackle football!

Edit: Oh, yeah, and before someone says it (though I find this doubtful) NASCAR is not, repeat, not a sport. Sure, it's a lot harder than it looks, but I refuse to believe that there is any skill in completing thousands of left turns. Though I might let in their pit crews. That's a hell of a lot more interesting to watch than the actual race.

Gee, ya' think?!

And if you're going to start off with insulting the most popular sport in the world then this thread has ALREADY become a flame war!

Bah you armoured pussy, Rugby is the sport of real men.

So rugby favourite to play, cricket favourite to watch.

Edit: Ninja'd
It's all in good fun Hawk, considering the nature of this forum I doubt there's many people who are into a sport and colloquial(sp?) enough to be offended.

Badminton, no contest.

Followed by soccer in distant second. Though the fact that I can enjoy pretty much any sport is probably noteworthy. And that these are sports I enjoy playing. I heavily dislike watching any sports, including badminton or my native hockey.

My favorite sports are Football, Basketball, and Soccer seeing as how I love to both play and watch those three. What position do you play Gascmark? I'm mostly a Left Tackle myself.

But yeah, Badminton isn't half bad either though. I played it for the first time during a Phys Ed. unit and it's cool when it's more competitive. I just hate how I absolutely suck at it seeing as how I have literally no forehand swing accuracy whatsoever.

I hate most sports. Usually because I can't play any of them, and they all have little character to them. You might get team nicknames like "Gunners" or whatever, but they're never of any importance. Most sport is played with either too many players or in singles/pairs, which doesn't really lend itself to a heavily characterised teams. Really, sports with teams between three and five members a side really lend themselves to characterised teams, but usually they get shunned by the masses and only appear on channels like "Challenge".

That was just a long winded way of saying I like Extreme Dodgeball on Challenge TV....

Also: Baseball. World Series. Only America plays. Logic: NONE!

Gimme Rugby over Football (soccer), lets hope the players stop all this play acting over each single [bleep] tackle. Thou I do like LARP dueling

People may argue with me on the classification of this (if they do, then I argue some of the "sports" on ESPN), but my favorite sport would be Marching Band, both in being a part of and watching. Before anyone says anything, in my own defense:
" Sport:
1. an athletic activity requiring skill or physical prowess and often of a competitive nature, as racing, baseball, tennis, golf, bowling, wrestling, boxing, hunting, fishing, etc." or "Physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively."
Marching band does this. (I'm using dictionary.com, and I'm not just finding whatever definitions fits marching band the best)

I don't know about how marching bands are elsewhere, but at my school, the marching band would be out practicing out in the hot sun of august (and the freezing cold of october) far longer and harder than our football teams.

And I could watch The Cavaliers ALL day. My only regret is that they are a male-only corps, so I couldn't move to Illinois and try out. XD

Other than marching band, I'm a fan of dance(tap dance especially), ice skating, gymnastics, etc.

Well, if cross country counts... that. And swimming. And most sports that involve a racket (tennis), though I'm not terribly good at them.
