The other solution may be that it needs to be re-put together again. I'll try to freshen up the screenpack and look over the code this weekend.
In the meantime you could always do what I do to amuse myself. Take the base client and try out characters one by one. Takes a while, but you can find some gems that way.

Yeah, I was thiking of putting it together myself again too. But I remember back in the day I had so much trouble being able to do that even with a program that was suppose to just be copy and paste the stage name or character name from the folder into the command code. It wouldn't ever end up in the actual visable select box in the MUGEN game when I went to pick the character but off screen somewhere.
The other problem I'm hoping its not is that my computer might just be weak. But it shouldn't be too weak. I am runing a 733 mhz Pentium III with 512 RAM thats 7 years old (yes I'm trying to get a new computer), but it SHOULD be able to run MUGEN if configured properly. But possibly this guy configured his MUGEN to play powerfully and for really amazing stuff. I mean, I was crashing on stages from some kind of EVA stage, from using the Super Mario 64 character (used him twice to make sure), and randomly durring certain high graphics stages when lots of music, menu graphics and stage movement was going on all at once.
However, when I picked the Flash (btw I LOVE HIM!!!!), I was able to play as him in arcade mode for 3 full battles (7 rounds) before the game crashed.
I'm downloading the fresh MUGEN client and trying it.
Edit: Fresh mugen client didn't work. Gonna try to start reading up on how to start building MUGEN from scratch but I'm on Windows and they of course love Prinnies. So any help with this would greatly be appreciated.
