Li used his staff as a vault and landed perilously close to lucretia.

"Yeh called cap'ness?"

Kane took his usuall fake-superior, overly sarcastic tone: "Normally, I'd be happy to have a little chat with you, Lucretia, but I seem to be...immobile. Perchance could you come down here instead if you so wish to converse with us?"

She rolls her eyes and stratils Kane, then sits with her knee on his stomach. "A lil' chat, eh?" She then smiles and whispers in his ear. "How's this for a lil' chat. I'm going to put you through Hell... don't underestimate me. You just might be suprised, Love." She pushes him back down keeping her hand on his chest and smiling. She then looks up at Li. "Well, be a gentleman, help a lady up."

"Absolutely." He said and helped her up promptly.
"I must say though that it is a bit odd that they deign to speak of you in the third person eh luv?" He said making a loose gesture in the others general direction.
"So what was it you wanted to discuss now luv?"

With 'I'm going to put you through Hell', Kane's face at once becomes very grave, and he began to reach for his knife, but he stopped, and became very confused very quickly. "Wh...put me through Hell...Love?...what...that doesn't make any...shit! Leg! Watch the leg!" Kane gasped, sighed and then lay back down.

He said wearily, "You already are putting me through Hell, Lucretia, you already are...."

Then, in a whisper, "I am so confused."

After Lucretia and Li had left, Kane partially sat up and asked to no one in particular: "Anyone know how to make a cast? Or want to help me to a bed? Or paying attention?"

She grabs Li's arm. "We'll talk in my room." She says with a smirk on her face. "And just so you men know, that would be the Captain's quarters... the biggest room on this ship." She made sure they all could hear. She then takes Li to the room and they both walk in, her locking the door behind her.

He raised an eyebrow and put an arm around her waist.

"So dearie actually decided to take their advice eh? A bit of a shock there. Not that I have any objections that is." He said flashing a rogueish wink.

"..... Oh, but Li.." She moves even closer to him until their lips almost touch. "You're just not my type." She pulls back and pushes his arm away. She jumps on the bed and starts moving the covers around frantically.

(And I'm off to bed. I know this is a huge loss to you people, but into every life, a little rain must fall. Or something. Whatever. Anyway, have a nice night.)

Li, now quite confused and sprawled on the floor. Attempted to make sense of what had just happened in his perpetually drunk little head.

"Erm... may I ask what in the nine hells just happened luv?"

"Li, get up here now!" She yelled as she still messed with the covers.

Li got up rather dazedly and went over and decided that this probably was just her coming back to the original purpose. Although why she had stopped in the first place was a mystery.

He jumped onto the bed and caught her in his arms, using his momentum to roll ontop of her. "So luv? Changed your mind have we?" He said.

She looked at Li and then looked at some of the covers in her hand. "It's not here...." Her eyes started filling up with tears as she just bursted out crying.

Li, was completely taken aback. Also a bit frustrated but mostly confused. He got off of her and took her head in his arms, rocking gently back and forth.

"There there now luv. What seems to be the matter?"

ooc: Looked like a good spot to end for hte night.

ic: "It was the last thing I had of my family, and he took it. He hid it under his pillow, right infront of me! " she said, crying harder. "He said i wouldn't get it until he died... i wouldn't get it.... i don't have it." She cried for some time, yet, the tears calmed down as she fell asleep in Li's arms.

Hikiro by this time was through wondering what was going on in the captain's quarters and was fooling around with a ball of fire he had conjoured up earlier.

Kane was once again up and about, hobbling awkwardly around with his new cast, which was a fine piece of work, if he did say so himself. He had already cleaned up all of the wounds he knew about. Unfortunatly, his shirt had been sacraficed to make the two bandages around his side, and he had found that he had indeed forgotten his other shirt. So now he was looking through the ship for another shirt, or something to cover his back up. He had been baddly sunburned on his scars once, and he'd rather not do that again. Besides, he was somewhat self-concious about the scars.

And so this little quest to find clothing took him right next to the captain's quarters. As he was crutching by, he suddenly felt the urge to find out what was happening in said quarters. Even though every ounce of will and logic told him not to, he still crept up to the door, and looked through the keyhole, and caught a glimpse of Lucretia in Li's arms. But what was disturbing was that his first thought was that of jealosy. He was gone in less than a second

Jealous? Why would I be jealous? I was right, and she wants to get into Li's pants, as that saying goes. I'm not jealous. I'm happy that I was right, and that fucking ninja-magicain was totally off-base. Yes. Bingo, that's it.......that's not it. Goddamnit, what the fuck is wrong here? She almost killed me, and she still wants to, and she's a pirate who hates me. And I do not care about her at all. Right...ok...damnit. God damnit!

He turned around in a fit of rage, and flicked off the door to the captain's room.

'I will put you through Hell' my ass; she sent me there a long time ago.

He turned back around and began to walk away.

Hikiro glanced around making sure there was no-one there. Then with one switft shove of his left arm upwards, he put his shoulder back into place. Hikiro's face was clenched with pain. It always hurt more to put his shoulder back in. After the pain had subsided Hikiro ambled below deck and looked around for something to eat.

ooc: Yes, i'm adding a plot twist. She's looking for a pendant that is almost 200 years old. It's handed down through her family. The Captain of the ship killed her family and told her she'd never get it back until the day he died.... so, why do you think she doesn't have it yet??

ic: She woke up and looked around the room, noticing Li laying beside her. She shook her head and climbed over him off the bed. She made her way to an old chest, opening it and pulling out a cleaning dress. She made sure Li was asleep and changed into it. She then walk out of the room and down the hall into the kitchen. She started cooking some breakfest for the crew consisting of bacon, eggs, sausage, and toast. She then made a seperate meal for the ninja consisting of mostly traditional oriental food. She set the table and made her way to where all the men were.
"I made you all some breakfest. It's down in the kitchen if you'd like some." She then made her way to the helm and sat on the steps that lead to it.

(Mmmm...depressing....I'll be sure to cheer you up...heh heh heh....:))

As Lucretia passed by him, Kane began to say something, but stopped himself. He paused for a moment, and started to say something again, but stopped again as well. He paused for a much longer moment, and once again began to say something. And stopped. He gave up and sighed. But as he was about to get up and test his food, he noticed that she was looking quite despondent. This time, before he could stop himself, he said: "So, was Li that bad in be....hmmmm....I think I'll get some food." He quickly got up and began to hobble towards the door.

She looked at him and got up. "Stover, sit on the steps, you shouldn't even be on that leg. When Li wakes up, i'm moving you to the bed. I don't think the hamock will be good for your leg." She helped Stover down and started to make her way to the kitchen, but turned around towards Stover. "Bad in bed? I wouldn't know." She then turned back around and made her way to the kitchen grabbing his plate and then heading back to him, handing him his food. She then sat beside him.

Hikiro by this time had already finished his meal and made a mental note to compliment the chef. He made his way to the deck and took a deep breath. He really couldn't care less about all the politics and bickering currently going on. all he cared about was what was around the next corner.

"Move me...good for me...wha....wai....I....*sigh* Ok. Right...thanks for the food." Kane took his hand off of his knife, and began eating. After a few seconds, he said: "So, if I may be so bold...do you li...whoa, that wasn't right. Ok...so, if I may be so bold, what were you and Li doing in your room for 4 or so hours? And more importantly, where did you learn to cook?"

"The cook of this exact ship actually. He was a kind man, practically raised me." She started playing with the skirt of her dress. "The Captain killed my family and kidnapped me, taking something that I want. There's something defintally wrong with everything that has happened. Killing all of those men was just too... easy." She leaned back and looked up to the sky, then to Kane. "Li and I were...." She paused and the smiled at Stover. "If you have to ask, then you'll never know."

OOC: time for a new thread methinks

"Thanks for not answering my question. Again. I really appretiate it. But that's not really important right now; what is important is: Why did you tell me that you were going to put me through Hell, and when are you going sto--art?...Because I'm having a lovely time right now." And if she believes that...

She smiles and lays her head on Kane's shoulder. "It just kills you... doesn't it?"

When Lucretia's head came to rest on his shoulder, Kane tensed up, and didn't move at all. He didn't know whether he should relax and act like having a beautiful woman leaning on him was natural, or if he should throw her off. In the end, he just stayed sitting up straight and tense.

Not nervous. At all. He thought She's just playing with me. And I don't care for her...wait...did I just think....

He sighed. "You still haven't answered either of my questions," he said, hoping that he didn't sound nervous.

She sat still, still leaning her head on his shoulder, but then wrapping her arms around him and bringing herself closer to him. "what question might that be?" She asked as she looked up into his eyes.

"I...you...the...the thing...about..." Well, he had certainly not expected this, and what was even more bothersome was that a good deal of him didn't mind it. At least he wasn't jealous. Which he never was in the first place. After a pause, he murmured "If you can't beat them...", put one arm behind her, one arm under her, and quickly moved her to his lap. Oddly enough, this put him somewhat at ease. Its because I just did something she wasn't expecting, and now I have the advantage. Not because there is a beautiful woman who may or may not hate me sitting in my lap....

...I'm in trouble.

"Ok, here goes. You...*ahem*...right, ok. Where was I...right. You...you never told me why you would put me through Hell, and why you're so good at it."

She smiles and cuddles closer to him. "It's easy to put someone through hell, when you've been there and back yourself." She then closed her eyes trying not to cry again.

As she cuddle closer, Kane let out a stifled cry, and shifted her a little off his right leg. But, despite the dangers to his legs, her cuddling with him was probably a good thing. He cautiously put his arms around her, and asked her "Why would you send someone through Hell, if you hated it yourself?"

She sat and smiled to herself, then whispered to Kane. "Because, I can." She then kisses him on the cheek and gets up. She walks back to the Captain's quartars to check on Li.

"'Because I can.'...fair enough." Kane sat for a while on the steps, contemplating what had just happened. After a few minutes, he put his hand on his cheeck and muttered: "Odi et amo...Cattulus was a fricken genius." He slowly got up, and began to crutch away to his hammock.

Hikiro had been on watch the entire time out on the end of the bow sprit. Despite his precarious position, he was dead bored and was in need of some entertainment

She came back up this time wearing her Captain's uniform. "Hikiro, we need to go North. We're searching for someone."

Kane began walking to the helm. "North? What the hell is north of here? And who are we loo...this doesn't have to do with that stolen important personal item of yours, does it?"

Hikiro nodded and returned to the deck "And praytell who are we looking for? I just want to be kept informed"

"You and me both, Hikiro."

She smiles, putting the hat on. "It has everything to do with it. There is a little island North of here called Deablois island. That's where the Captain of this ship is. The smartass gave a different crew member his uniform and left a couple minutes before we started fighting them. I'm getting it back, even if i die trying." She walks to the helm where Kane is and gives him the spy glass. "You need to keep watch, when you get tired, tell me and Hirkiro can keep watch. I can then help you down to where Li's sleeping."

Hikiro nods "right then. Anything else need doing while im still uninibited?"

Kane began walking towards the bow. He stopped, sighed, and said: "You know, I can't really believe I'm saying this, but do try to not die. Other than that, good luck to all of us..."
