The last Fortress
 

I own the super mario world for the snes and have 92 percent. I think that the only thing that I have to do is beat the fortress in bowser's valley. How do you acces it? By the way, yes, I have beaten the speacial levels, so I know that it's not the reason for incompletion.

In the level that is just below the fortress you come to a room where parts of the floor move up and down, you can fly above the screen on one of them, from there head left (I think, it may be right) and you get to a secret room with a key and a lock.

I can't beleve I remember that, I haven't played this game in years.

BTW if you are only at 92% then you still have more than just one fortress left.

ok, what else do I have to do? there are some pretty suspicious islands near the forest and the chocolate land. and what's up with the star that leads nowhere? I think that its the second star (going clockwise) on star road. what is it?

There is no star on star road that goes nowhere, each one has a path that links to the next level. As for what you need to do I can't tell you because I can't see your game.

Anyway, it's a ghost house under the fortress isn't it? There's a room where you can fly up to the ceiling and there's a boxed in area where there's a key. Figure out how to get in there yourself. There's no trick, you just have to fly in there in a crouched position.

The star does NOT lead nowhere. It's the one in the middle of the ocean right? Y'know that secret level under the butter bridge? The one you get to by climbing down a vine? Well, there's a secret in THAT level too, and it leads to the star in the ocean.

<edit> Oh, and those suspicious islands by chocolat island? They don't do anything in the game. Forget about them.

You do know that once you beat the middle Star in Star Road, it opens up to a rediculously hard set of levels with names like Tubular and Rad right?

How about the top secret area above Donut Ghost house, have you unlocked that as well?

How about the repetitive paths in the Forest of Illusion? The Ghost House there has a secret exit that goes right back over a path you already have.

To get to the Fortress, go to the part of the level where the ground accelerates up from under your feet. After the first crusher, jump up off the top of the screen and go left.

BTW, the 92 isn't a percent, it's the number of gates cleared. There are 96.

Oh, ok. Only a few to go. Yeah, I have beaten the "tubular" and "rad" levels, and I have the pathetically named "secret area". And could you be a little more specific on how to get to that special level under the butter bridge?
