Geico Cavemen Get sitcom?

I'm calling shenanigans on this... I think it's an early april fools.

Anyways, linky.

Eh, this wouldn't even be in the top ten ridiculous ideas that should never be made into sitcoms, that have been made into sitcoms.

POS Industries 03-17-2007 03:31 AM

True. Also, pilot's are developed for countless shows that never, ever have a chance of being picked up, just to see if it's even possible that it could made into a workable series. This seems like one of those times.

Nique 03-17-2007 03:24 PM

I mean, if they wanted to do a short, sure. I'd be with that. But this? eh. I mean, the pilot pretty much uses up all the jokes. Too gimmicky.

Well, all but the first Geico-Caveman commercial have been more about the humor of the Caveman, and just mentioning Geico itself as something of an afterthought.

It seems the proper logical step, but yeah--Only if it were kept to 3:30 shorts or so.

We laugh at his pain!

Death by Stabbing 03-21-2007 05:53 PM

heh...Maybe it could work.

I don't know if I would watch it though.

Sporticus 03-21-2007 06:36 PM

It won't make it to schedule.

Do you know this as a solid reported fact, or are you simply saying what everyone already knows?

I mean, it's really neither here nor there since it's true, but I'm still curious if there's an official report from the studio that "No, we have not gone totally nuts so we won't be going with the Caveman show"
