That is awesome. Finally... we can see digitally remastered degobah action,
and we can hear chewbacca in 3.1 dolby surround. YES! |
yes, but they will only be those new ones with those weird extra scenes. like solo walking on jaba's tail. and whats the deal with greedo shooting on first and missing at a range of 4 feet?(the cantina scene when we first meet han)
also I wonder if that list of changes for the DVD will be acted upon. supposedly its just some cynical fan list of things they think will change. |
Don't ask me how they would do this, but I was really hoping they would put both the original and the remade version on the same disk. Most of the remade scenes replace material rather than add extra time anyway. I was thinking it might be possible to have an option that just places the new stuff over the old stuff like the video commentary does when it pops up in the corner. But for the scenes where they do actually add something, like the better view of Mos Eisely (don't know how to spell it), I wouldn't know what to do. But it should be possible on one disk.
And Mr. Wind-Up Bird, before you submit a link, could you at least say what its about. |
The original trilogy of star wars is cool. Not episode 1 & 2. They are crap.
|
One was absolutedly horrible. 2 was alright. If it weren't for the love scenes 2 would have kicked ass.
The biggest problem with the new ones has been the casting of Anakin. They screwed it up both times. The movies would have been so much better if they had Anakins that could act. |
Bend me....
My roommate and I were thinking that Lucas was gonna wait until after he released episode III on DVD before releasing the original trilogy. But whaddya gonna do? They're releasing it a year or two earlier than we thought. Huzzah! Well, I certainly hope that they have an option to change just ONE small detail in Episode IV. "Dispite the fact that it's the worst idea since Greedo shooting first..." |
quoted from the press release:
"While the long-held rumor was that George Lucas would wait until the completion of Star Wars Episode III, due in theaters in May 2005, to release the original trilogy on DVD, Lucasfilm VP of Market Jim Ward revealed today that Lucas "found some time" in his schedule and "was willing and eager to make it happen."" Lucas was willing to make money? not THE George Lucas? that doesn't sound like him at all. |
Wow... great. Does anyone here find Star Wars as boring as I do?
Oh goody, Star Wars. On a DVD. With "digital remastering". Not likely to make it actually good IMO. |
