Vera Chapter 3: Look At The Birdies
 

ooc-Mr. V, you thought I was kidding, didn't you?

"You know...you're strong, real strong."

"So are you."

"Yes, physically...but you're stronger in terms of spirit. Despite all that has happened, you have never doubted yourself."

"Of course not...to doubt myself...to give up...that would mean that you would..."

"I know...I know, but I have to do this."

"Just as I...look, time's run out, and it seems that whatever we do we have to do it soon."

"Are you sure?"

"I had given up long ago on convincing you to stop...now, there is only one choice, with such little time left."

"You're right."

"Yes...I'm always right."

"I guess that means no more stalling."

"Indeed...it is time."


Lookie at the birdies...

A thought like that was not surprising considering that a rather large demon had just slammed into him. Of course, now was not the time to go bird watching. "Gerrof!"

Having had a large and heavy demon fly into him is not as fun as some would say it was. It was painful, very painful, and fighting it off now that they crashed into the ground (with him on the bottom) was also painful and tiring.

He didn't have many options, he needed to capture this alive and in one piece afterall. It was sort of hard doing that, when it could whip, bite, and step on you on the same time I might add.

However, once again he had a brilliant plan. Of course, he would also get hurt again. My brilliant plans suck. Regardless of wether his plans did suck or not he had to go through with this.

A cage wouldn't work, because he would be trapped with the beast anyway if he couldn't get away. Freezing it and using fire could also kill it...as well as him. Lightning would shock him, and rocks would fall on him. That left one element. Wind.

Problem was, he had already used some of his Wind Spirit, and he felt tired. Using Wind again, while trying to concentrate while the creature was in this frenzy, would drain him of his energy even more. Still...I've got no choice.

With a burst of energy he suddenly propelled the specimen straight up, slamming it into the stone ceiling. Then Toma rolled away to keep it from falling back on him (which would have been really stupid).

Now he just had to hope that it wouldn't get up.

Over in the cafeteria a maelstrom erupted. Dark vines of power extended outwards in all directions, disintegrating all the tables and some of the rafters collapsed inward.

Ueleg's healing flow shifted into this and began to feel pulled into it. He tried to fight it but found it quite... enchanting. He lost himself to this chaotic power that he now unleashed.

The students around him fled. He didn't care. As explosions richoceted from the walls he started laughing. Bliss sheer bliss and power total control. The very castle shook itself to the core and the windows burst out, sending a spray of colored glass out over the grounds.

ooc: If no one comes down here I'm probably gonna kill myself and about a hundred other people.

[OOC:] You really used that title? Dang, you weren't kidding! I can see a good Omake comin' from this... and I'm assuming this continues right after the previous chapter as far as time flow goes[/OOC]

A rumbling shook the castle coming from what he thought was the cafeteria. Jason felt it, and was ready to go. "C'mon, guys! There's people in there that need help, and I intend to give it." With that, he drew Flamebellow from its scabbard on his back and ran for the source, not checking to see if his friends were going to follow.

OOC: Well, I hope Ecurt updates, but...

Zek heard a massive rumbling from above, and sounds of destruction and cahos. He said, "What in the name of the heavens was that?! We need to wrap this up quickly and figure out what is going on, now Toma!" Zek noticed the demon did indeed seem unconscious, and Zek said, "Put that thing in a cell seperate from the other creatures, and follow me as soon as possible. I'm going to investigate what is going on." With that, Zek began to travel down the hall back towards the stairs.

OOC: Sorry about not posting, I waited too long and then I couldn't find a spot to come in. Can I just say I come in here? Or this this a little too late?

OOC: V, by sabbard I assume you mean a rope or something on his back, and not a real scabbard... Zbigswordthing is way to big to have a scabbard (Or your back for that matter...)

IC:
Catenan had gotten healed by multiple mages, and was obviously fired from his job. In a meeting with one of the head people of the school, Catenan was given some new jobs as well.

One of these jobs was to be an offical security guard, which he assumed meant he hits people that are hitting other people.

Now, with the castle shaking, and people running from the cafeteria, Catenan assumed some one needed a good beating.

[OOC:] Correct, IHMN. Scabbard just sounds cooler than 'sheith' (sp?) does. It is on the back, since not only does it look cooler (booyah!) but it wouldn't work any other way. [/OOC]

ooc: it's called a Zweihander. And yeah it's like clouds sword size but actually weildable.

Ueleg turned his head to the newcomer, it was the janitor dude. A little something stirred inside him, some last vestige of sanity.

"Help me!" He screamed. "I'm not doing this! I'm going to try to..." suddenly he sunk back into the insanity and his voice warped into something wholly inhuman "...CRUSH YOU LIKE THE PITIFUL THING YOU ARE!" He said throwing his head back and laughing.

His energy slowly was sapping away from him but he didn't care. He had the power.

Rena followed after Jason, ready to help out. She ignored the pain in her leg as she rushed after him. "What happened?!" She yelled to nobody in particular, since she knew the others knew just about as much as she did.

Catenan looked at the student oddly, but didn't care. Instead, he jumped over a couple of vines (of power), landed on a table, then jumped from the table at Ueleg.

OOC: Samuria X/Rouroni Kenshin, the big sword that Sasuke (no idea if that is his name) has is a Zweihander. Cloud's (Buster) sword is even smaller then that...
