Diplomacy, 1900, Take 3.
 

Our first two games were a little bumby and stalled out but I think we should give this game one last chance. The PDF version of the rulebook can be found here and a condensed version of the rules can be found here.

If you have any questions as to how to play, take a look at the previous threads before you ask as the answer MAY be there. The previous threads are Here, here, here, AND here.

This is an open sign up for the first 6-7 people to sign up. Its a 7 player game and I'll do what Bob did in terms of opening orders only after my orders have been confirmed, assuming I play. Still debating whether I should trust myself or not so I'm gonna leave it up to you guys if you'll let me be a player or not.

Finally, the countries will be decided at random and sign ups are open to everyone who feels that they will be able to play the whole game through.

Orders are due by 11:59 PM Sunday April 15th via PM and CLEARLY labeled as "Spring 1902 orders". If you have any changes you want to make to your orders, label that in your updated orders. Also, you can only change your orders if and only if there is time remaining or I haven't said that all orders are in and no more changes are allowable or something like that. Happy warring.

If the old one is really dead, count me in on this one.

I'm willing to give this a try now, provided B_Real isn't allowed to talk to other players.

I'll give it a go too, if you'll allow a relative newbie (both the forum and the game) in. If not, I'll be an alt if someone drops out :P

As long as you have a good grip on the game, you'll be fine. I'd suggest looking through the two previous games, and then making an alliance with someone whos played before, and make sure all the moves you do work out in the game and that you don't make any mistakes or break any rules.

Sure thing, I played this once or twice back in college and reading through the other threads reminded me how fun it was. I'm reading through the rules again as well (woohoo for lazy Fridays at work).

You should be fine then, unless B Real has a problem.

Its fine so long as you are fully capable to commit to the game by sending in orders on time. Makes the game more enjoyable that way if everyone participates.

I'm also REALLY tempted to allow 2 man teams so that if we get extra people, 2 people can have control over one faction. Of course the person who signed up first gets full control and the second person only gets control if the first fails to send in orders or something like that. But thats only if we have extra people who want to play.

EDIT: Also, about what 42 was saying about me, He's saying I'm not allowed any alliances. But thats cause the 2 alliances I had with him, I broke and completely screwed him over. Just some Food for Thought. I'm also TOTALLY down with that too.

I'm in it for the long haul. I've usually got a bunch of time at work to kill so I can probably check the forum semi-obsessively and keep up with the game for the most part.

Barring me getting hit by a bus, I'm in this game till the end :D
