Okay, so apparently Liam Neeson is playing the title role in the next Batman flick. Does anyone else find this as incredibly disturbing? Discuss...

I dunno, he wasn't the problem in Episode 1.... too bad Darth Maul couldn't have killed Jar Jar, or at least kill Anakin before Episode 2 came around. It's not like they couldn't have cloned him to make Darth Vader.

Nope. The next Batman is Christian Bale. Where'd you hear Liam Neeson?

I heard it on the radio this morning - from two different morning shows. Wonder if their source was screwed up...

Bale is playing Batman. Neeson is playing a villain, as far as I know.

not that it really matters, since Burton probably isnt directing it, its going to suck. just like every batman past Batman Returns.

Not so - that last one with Uma Thurman and Arnold Shwarzenegger was quite the cinematic feast. I particularly liked the part whereAAAAAAAAGH! Jeezus! STOP HITTING ME! GOD NO! PUT THE HAMMER DOWN! OWCH! AGH! WHEASLES!

And the director is going to be Christopher Nolan. The same Christopher Nolan that directed Insomnia and Memento. So, while it's not going to be Burton style, I'd wager there will be a darker atmosphere than in the last two Comic Relief Fiestas.

Is this the 'prequel' one?
