Looks like an improved version of FFTA, graphics wise. Note how the girl looks a little like Ritz.

How can it be FFTA2 when its on DS, shouldnt it be FFTDS? I also pray it buck the childish story and goes for a more FFT/FFXII political one.

Between the girl who seems to be a Thief by default, and has tighter clothing than most Viera (And do I see a tail, or is that something else?), and the boy whose wardrobe can't decide between Kingdom Hearts and a pirate...

I want to know what the crap that giant thing is in the bottom-right screen.

Aside from some graphical touch-ups (Slopes are a nice touch), and maybe a few add-ons, this looks like it might be more of the same... Though, if they balance out the classes some more (See: a lot) and make it not so hideously broken, that might not nessecarily be a bad thing.

I think thats a ponytail coming from behind her. As for the bird thing (thats what you are talking about right?) it looks like a Cluckatrice from FF12.

How were the classes unbalanced in the first one?I want to know so that I know which classes I should use XD

Lord of Joshelplex 04-02-2007 10:07 AM

In the original FFT they were, dont know about FFTA though.

Calculators could ravage entire enemy parties.

Assassins and their one-hit kills with a 70+% chance to hit.

But those are for the weak. REAL men use Red Mages who Doublecast summons, Blue Mages who know every available move and paladins who have a 6 move, dual-wield Excalibur 2 and Ragnarok, always have Auto-Life up, and are (literally) impossible to hit with physical attacks.

Not to mention Cid, who pretty much makes you invincible to laws.

I played that game WAY too much.

I wonder how this iteration will tie in for Ivalice as a whole? I mean, FFT was set in a magical kingdom called Ivalice during the lion wars, FFTA was set in a meld between a fictional Ivalice and a town called St. Ivalice spawned by a magic book and a loser, and Final Fantasy XII mixed the previous two together as Montblanc and Nono were in it.

The only problem I had with FFTA was that I in the end needed only 4 characters other than Marche, each of whom I started the game with, and every other person who joined my clan was just there so I could try out other classes.

My Paladin/Fighter/and a white mage near the end, A Viera sniper/red mage, A Bangaa Dragoon/ Monk, a Fighter/ Thief, and a Nu Mou Black Mage/ White Mage.

The final member who I would swap out other guys for was Montblanc, who was a Time mage, but ended up being too weak compared to my white mage Nu Mou. White mages always seem to make much better Black Mages than Black Mages, huh?
