#827: "But I love those guys."

It's not Thief's fault they ran into the one semi-competent guy in the world. But now what?

Tendronai 03-30-2007 11:47 PM

Would we be incorrect in assuming murder is the answer now?

Zuzak 03-30-2007 11:54 PM

Naming his legs? Swords, I can understand. Its Fighter after all. But he doesn't really use his legs except to stand. Not that you can do much but stand with them.

The only ways I know for the LW's to defeat someone who isn't a moron:
1) Hadoken
2) Fighter's brain drain
3) Run away

If RM's plan is to break their legs so that the NPC can't, I volenteer to break his.

Cybren 03-31-2007 12:00 AM

Where poorly thoughtout excuses fail, violence succeeds!

Mondt 03-31-2007 12:18 AM

I should start calling my legs kicky and standy...

bluestarultor 03-31-2007 12:28 AM

Wait, wouldn't it only apply to Fighter's legs? The others can just book and wait until the guy just gets tired from trying to overcome Fighter's invulnerability. Or he might succeed only for fighter to be okay in the next panel. And didn't RM already have his skeleton removed by Ur? o.0

Rocketlex 03-31-2007 01:06 AM

Between the guard's neck-stabbing fantasies and this guy's leg-breaking MO, it looks like the LWs are starting to rub off on people.

When all else fails...

It would be funny to see RM's plan be changing into "Debora" and try to seduce him...but that really would be hard to relate it to their quest prize. Or try to convince the guy they really aren't there but are figments of his imagination.

But I was waiting for a character to be introduced who wasn't an idiot. So far, the only ones have been White Mage and Princess Sarah, and to an extent, Lich.

Scarface 03-31-2007 03:35 AM

Funny.I have a plan also:
Kill him before he grabs your legs, take his wallet and check his pockets for any more money, then run away as fast as you all can. :D

Chaos Mage 03-31-2007 04:10 AM

PLEASE LET IT BE HADOKEN!

Lord Setheris 03-31-2007 06:37 AM

The LW are doomed. Their methods only work on morons.

Sky Warrior Bob 03-31-2007 08:28 AM

I don't see the problem. He only old Fighter that he'd break his legs, the other guys are in the clear.

And Fighter is near impervious to all sorts of damage, so I don't see even a legitimate businessman being able to give him a cramp, let alone breaking his legs.

My guess is that he'll make them an offer they can't refuse and RM will get a real side quest, or RM will piss off BM and the murdering will commence and another bastion of civilization will be left a smoldering ruin in the wake of the LW's.

Edwardius 03-31-2007 12:12 PM

Have they yet to even run out of npc towns to destroy? Anyway, since when the hell did npcs get any intellect bonuses?

32bit-RedMage 03-31-2007 01:30 PM

If only RM still had his +2 knifehat and his fireface he could defeat
that "businessman" in 5 seconds !

Did anyone else get the Futurama reference.

GOD OF IRONY 03-31-2007 05:33 PM

most likely Rm will fail in his plan and BM will stab RM and the "Legal busnessman" while Fighter talks to kicky and standy

Psychosheep 03-31-2007 07:20 PM

I'm betting violence or hilarity will ensue. Beyond that it's anyone's guess.

mattblack04 03-31-2007 10:10 PM

Don't hilarity and violence go hand in hand in this comic?

Khael! 04-01-2007 09:47 AM

Does butter go on toast?

I do believe RM has used the ol' 'cliffhanger to stall for time' tactic. Damn you Tuesday for not getting here sooner!

GOD OF IRONY 04-01-2007 04:05 PM

no you have to make it :D :ninja:

bass_virus 04-01-2007 06:17 PM

I'm guessing Thief is gonna end up going into business with this guy.

henke37 04-02-2007 03:46 AM

With business you must mean "totally outsmarting, robing and hiring to do his bidding".
And that is assuming he survives.
