((why does this always happen to me? i always miss the good part. oh, well. i guess my character doesn't have to show off his skills until later anyways.))
Dinoshi had stood back and waited as the others destroyed the demons. He had not wanted to bother with them, since it would have been a waste of his strength. Dinoshi then silently walked by the group and checked for which way West was. |
ooc: holy crap you guys post quick I was away for a day and you already are up to seven from 2 or 3.
BIC: Hutari had readied his blowgun but did not fire the whole time for they hadn't needed it. Hutari had learned from his years of practice and fighting was to wait for the enemy to lunge at you then you attack. He slowly walked around the group and looked at the corpses. "Well, one battle done. But, that one was done way too easy you know" he said with a curious tone as he looked around to make sure nothing else was coming. |
Jinza sits back down in his seat and watches as the scout flies off above the trees, following the trail back to the bear. He turns to his right and looks at Borei. "Where was his last known position?"
"Ahead of us, about a few hours away. Given travel distances and time...he's still a day or two ahead." "Good. We will have the jewel within the week." "Unless something unexpected happens..." Borei muses. "Oh, come now, Borei. Your pessimism doesn't become you." "Yes, Father...I just have an odd feeling about today...as if many unexpected things might happen." "So it is with every day. Borei...victory will be ours. Don't doubt that." "Yes, Father." A woman's voice comes from behind them. "You worry too much about your intuitions, Borei." They both turn to face her, sitting in the back seat. She adds, "You should learn that instincts aren't everything." Jinza smiles and says, "Very good, Shenzi. You teach a good lesson." She grins back at him, raising a fan to her face. "I studied under the best." "As did I, if you'll remember," Borei says. She laughs and opens her fan, waving it over her face. Jinza then turns back around and faces forward. "Enough now. We should stay alert." "Yes, Father," Borei says, nodding. She nods also and faces forward, all three of them keeping their silence. Well, four. Sitting to the far side of Shenzi's seat and behind Jinza, General Kolahn pets the back of the nearest beast pulling their carriage. He looks not at them, nor at the demon, but into space, losing himself deep in thought. At length, he glances up with his eyes, staring past Jinza's head. |
Kansai looked at Hutari with yet another unfriendly glare "we were aware of that" Kansai removed one of his shurikens from a demon's forehead, tucked it into his pouch and began heading west; well in front of the group.
|
Akia looked up at the sky with a "why me?" look on her face and began walking. "We should hurry, the demon's tracks are getting colder and no doubt Jinza is already on the move as well." Cleaning off her Kamas quickly, she began walking West, catching up with Kansai.

Ith went over and reaffixed the sheath of his naginata to the shaft. "Don't worry they're not in the immediate area. I'd smell them. We're within about half a day of the nearest demons. Although with a flyer or two about it is harder to tell."
His neko-te clinked eerily against the shaft of his weapon. It was odd that those hadn't been detected though. Probably buried. "Although burrowing demons I couldn't tell." He then turned to his attention to the young girl that had joined them. "And what would your name be? I don't recall you from the village earlier." And thuslly we begin the journey. Unscathed for the most part. I give praise to thee gods. Once again I have remained in the light ooc: he likes to be think inspirational stuff |
Tuchai walked up to the body of the demon that cut his cheek and kicked it. "Serves you right you bastard," he mumbled. He caught up with the rest of the group, still mumbling to himself, "Geez, ten minutes into our "Big Journey, Quest, Thing" and I've already got a scar to remember it by." He didn't like how he was being so careless in the heat of battle and he felt pretty pathetic. Then he remembered that new girl that diverted his attention. He walked up behind her and calmly said to her, "You know, you should really watch what happens when you have a sudden entrance like that." He felt his cheek again and found that it wasn't bleeding as much as before. What a pathetic excuse for a scar, he thought.

Hutari was walking along side Ith and contimplated many things that could have been better in that battle. But he let his attention soon derive from that and focus on the new girl. She was quite pretty and looked rather innocent but he knew that to be a falicy for anything that is innocent looking will rip your throat out before meowing. Plus, she was joining their group so she was obviously a skilled fighter. "Yes what is you name madam" he said most politely.

Kansai was really pissed off now. He couldn't even begin to understand how a group of ninja were so unprofessional! He was starting to wonder why he had bothered to assist in the first place. Still his face said nothing of his thoughts.

Hiroru looked once. "We can worry about it later, we have a mission to accomplish."
