And thus Brian has made Fighter Wolverine and now I have to hate fighter on principle...
Yet the same thing happens often with Batman as well and I can't bring myself to hate him at all...

Actually, I would like to see a "Astonishing Fighter" comic written by Joss Whedon...

BM has 4th wall breaking tendencies, and this is one of them.

To anyone that doesn't know X-men (God forbid. I mean, they've already made two movies about it)

Uncanny, Extreme and Astonishing are each the titles of different X-men comics, which sometimes had different storylines about the globe at the same time, yet all seemed to have Wolverine within them.

Maybe red mage hopes fighter has wolverine's regenerating powers...
If so, his plan is as simple as it is genius.

Step 1: Take one (1) Fighter
Step 2: Take one (1) Very sharp weapon
Step 3: Decapitate fighter
Step 4: Wait for both head and body to fully regenerate into two Fighters
Step 5: Repeat steps 1-4
