The Warring States of NPF - A Toastburner RP Interest Thread

Hello, everyone! After a rather long absence from the RP forum, I come begging on my hands and knees to see if anyone would be interested in some ideas I have come up with in the meantime.

Truth be told, I have somewhat of a spotty record...my infamous Christmas RP was a smash hit, whereas my Locusts RP was...not so much of a hit. :sweatdrop . Each title will be with a description and will say how close it is to being realized enough to be an RP.

Oathbound: An RP inspired by the less than popular game Drakengard (what can I say...I liked it). It's your basic fantasy setting (kingdom A vs. Kingdom B) with a few little twists: in the game (eventually...it wouldn't start out like this), the characters will be bound to a dragon, giving them superhuman abilities...but at a price. For the dragon, the cost is having their life bound to that of a much more frail being, for if one of the bound partners die, both die. For the human, the cost is much more...immediate. Voice, sight, beauty, being able to feel pleasure, even the ability to age...all have been lost for the sake of the oath. More often than not, the price is something important to the character. All players would be on the same side (I find PC vs. PC combat to be cumbersome at best). This story is almost ready...just a few elements would need to be ironed out before I could start this RP.

The Return: TB tries to take on the sci-fi genre once more. In this case, mankind was forced from the Earth more than a century ago by an alien race known as the Tanar'ri. Mankind attempted to flee on six great colony ships, each carrying millions. Of those six, only one, the Return made it to the edge of the Solar System, and the relative safety of hyperspace. In the passing years, the Tanar'ri have grown lax in the defense of their new conquered systems, and as such, it is a total surprise when an incredibly large carrier appears at the head of a fleet of ships. Mankind has appeared to reclaim their homeworld...and they didn't come alone.

Of all the concepts presented here, this is perhaps the roughest. Various races, displaced by the Tanar'ri, have combined forces to take back their homeworlds. The refugee ship Return has been converted into the largest warship ever known, and as such, Earth is first on the list to be retaken. I'm still not sure how I would play this one, such as what I would let the character's be (such as pilots, ground pounders, or even captains of their own ships), but if enough interest is expressed, I would be willing to listen to suggestions and pound out the details.

Evil's Return: Based on a very unfamous (and generally not well received) manga of the same name...but "remixed", if you will, because the plot is generally the same, but I've added my own elements to it. The basic plot is that the players will be in charge of protecting a young woman who is prophesied to give birth to the one that will either seal the gates of Hell shut forever, or throw them open, allowing the demons of Hell to invade Earth.

It�s kind of like The Terminator�but not.

This would be a �slice-o�-life�/�High School� RP with a liberal dose of monster bashing. Players would be those who are protecting the �Mother of Hell� from the denizens of Hell�and the more �zealous� human organizations who believe the best way to avoid the worst case scenario is to kill the girl. Heck, I�d even be willing to let someone play the girl if they wanted to. This is a more straightforward RP, so it�s basically ready to go as is�if anyone is interested.
