.....Ecurt. My friend. I will have to make you pay for that.

Also, a quick thing. Once all the students are in class, Mr. Silva is going to "close the door". To everyone else, it will seem like he simply closed the door shut. However, thanks to his Incantation, he'll have set up a ward around the room, and specifically around the door.

Any normal human with no mal-intent can open the door quite easily, allowing students to use the bathroom, teachers and the principal to make surprise visits, etc. However, those with a more magical background, i.e. demons, and those with mal-intent, i.e. intending to hurt an innocent inside the classroom or break Mr. Silva's rules, will find that the door is impossible to open. Granted, the door can be blasted away with Sigil or Incantation, but no amount of physical force will open the door.

This means, of course, that the S.E.C.A. outside can handle any of the more mundane threats on their own without Mr. Silva being forced to get involved. However, if a magical attack is used to blast the door open, then the teacher will no longer need to worry about keeping quiet with his abilities, and can protect the class with his magic.

Will this action be recognizable by those with enough magical ability or is it intended to obscure all? Just want to make sure so I don't step in on anything you had planned.

Edit: Just to say, I don't intend to act on it overmuch, it would just make a very good addition to his thoughts and a possible interaction later on.

I do find it interesting though that he would allow someone to read a book while he's teaching (or trying to in class) while not letting someone sleep. Guess he apreciates the arts eh?

Yes, that is a good question. Can mages instinctually sense magic being invoked nearby, or do they have to be actively searching for it? Or, can they not sense other's magic at all?

Raiden 04-15-2007 09:05 PM

It's meant to not be sensed. Otherwise, it'd do more damage than harm, since those searching for the Mother of Hell would be able to go "WELL HALO THAR, I SEES A SPELL!" and make a beeline right for the classroom.

Is it possible for me to be like the School's Security guard or something similar?

Since John's at the school and I'm pretty much needed to be around him at most times (Yay official double Demon watch!), I'd think I'd need a school job too.

Demetrius 04-15-2007 09:39 PM

I was going to go security guard, but then mundane crap can hold you back, you should join the grounds keepers, no one knows what we do other than mow the lawns and pick up garbage every now and then.

Myst 04-15-2007 10:06 PM

So I wouldn't have caused any problems by walking through the door then, right? I can edit my post if it was problematic.

Raiden 04-15-2007 10:12 PM

That depends, Myst. Did you intend to kill someone in that room? :P

Only with my rapier wit and good looks, of course.;) That's what I thought, just wanted to make sure.
