Laurella took a brief moment from hugging her pendant with one hand so that she could catch the textbook Michael had thrown. What exactly did Michael have planned with this? Did he want her to smite her enemies with it?

Laurella hung back, trying to avoid combat. As far as she knew, she'd only get in the way of the real professionals working.

Armed and Ready OR Trigger

Rob managed to make it to his destination with minimal injury. That last one felt like he took part of my arm. Wait, he did! Oh the pain! Rob removes his blindfold and observes an obviously locked door. What, it didn't work? The blindfold was supposed to make it easier to concentrate, I must have looked like a... Ah well. He draws a sigil from his pocket and places it on the door. He lightly taps the door twice with the back of his hand, and it swings open, revealing two possessed high school students.

First Period! Damn!

Rick dodges through the two, recieveing a few claw wounds, and grabs the nearest baseball bat. He pulls his swing, just enough to push the possessed ones back. A little unweildy, would really prefer my boken... He manages to drive them into a pile of mats. You two just stay there for a few, pretend I wasn't even here. He closes the door behind him Now, off to the classroom. He starts running again, this time making use of his normal vision. At least I managed to dampen the sound. That screaming crap was... Rob inhales sharply, oh...

This time, Rob manages to notice the Blood Summoned. Wowee... Now thats more like it! Rob leans the bat on the wall and draws a simple symbol on his left hand with the tip of his knife, summoning his Compound Bow. Now, you on the otherhand, get to be on the recieving end of very lethal damage. Rob looks at the monster, then looks at his arrows, then graps some duct tape and wraps some sigils around his arrows. Now, lets draw you away from the nice Mother of Hell, Mr. Demon. Rob nocks one of these prepared arrows. I sure hope I get some backup, otherwise this will be a really short encounter with the unkind kind...

Zack felt the wave of possessing spirits easily through his sobs. He looked up just in time to see wave of red eyes wash across the room. A cold wave of his own washed over him. Here it is again. Don't blow it, Zack.

He attempted to move toward Laurella, but a huge, burly older student, probably a football player, blocked his path, a malicious grin plastered across his face. His red eyes glowed dimly.

"I'm not letting you hurt her! Not again!" he yelled. "Deck of sigils, be my guard!"

His sigil deck was instantly out and floating above his left shoulder. The football player lunged forward, but Zack was already in battle mode. Two cards flipped out of the deck and landed between his index and middle fingers. "Exorcise! Banish!" The sigils on the Exorcism and Banish cards glowed a hot white, and he flung them toward the football player. The Exorcise card connected first, and the red glow in his eyes faded. The Banish card detonated moments later, bathing a five-foot radius in white light, sending the spirit back to Hell.

He pushed past the disoriented student, and, to his horror, saw three students closing in on Laurella. No. NO!

Three more cards were in his hand. "Blessings of heaven, may my cards fly straight and true!" He spit out his incantation in less than a second. "Paralyze!"

He flung the trio of Paralysis cards at the three students. On contact, each froze up, unable to move, and fell to the ground. He ran up to where the three had fallen, a few feet from where Laurella stood.

He drew his wand from his left jacket pocket. "By the power of holy light of Heaven, I hereby declare these spirits vanquished and banished, to return to the black pit of Hell from whence they came!" The bodies glowed momentarily as they released their demonic hosts.

"I know I said I wouldn't be too weird, but we need to go. NOW."

The demon was hot on Jacob's heels. The other soldiers were likely shitting themselves as the beast came charging for them. It was then that Echo Team decided to show up.

The beast was sent flying back into the building in which it came. The man Narzeal had made friends with had just unleashed his rocket, and now had a smile on his face. "Alright, he is all yours. I need a minute to reload anyway." The man said calmly, seeming unnerved by the situation.

Narzeal could not be shown up by that. "Ah, and here I thought I wouldn't have any fun." Narzeal said as he got up out of the van and drew his blade. The flames bursted forth from the blade, coating it in searing heat. Though it was quite obvious Narzeal was used to this.

The beast recovered and came charging, every bit of the beast angry at the attack. The impact was clear on its side, but it was strange how the beast recovered so quickly, considering the massive amount of blood that poured from the gapping would. Narzeal ran towards the beast, blade first. He looked like a madman, charging a beast like that with what seemed like a burning toothpick in response.

The beast dove forward, aiming to rip Narzeal in half with one fell clamp of its massive jaws. Narzeal himself hit the ground, sliding through the debrew that had been one the ground, and just recently torn by the beast. Finding himself under the beast, Narzeal thrusted upward, shoving the scorching sword into the beast.

The howl the beast let off from that was eerie, and brought back nightmares that should have been left forgotten. Nazreal rolled, ripping his blade out to the side of the beast's wound. The beast head went to snap that Narzeal, but before the bite found flesh to grip, the beast was thrown back again.

"Look at that, you would have been dead if it wasn't for me." The man shouted. Narzeal had the blade right in the position to where if the bite had landed, the beast would have found its lower jaw missing. "I had that under control you know." Narzeal replied, relaxing in a better position.

The man had been smiling, but suddenly he was pissed. "What the hell does it take to drop this beast?" He shouted, and Narzeal turned to face the demon. It looked pissed, as the tentacles flared out, ready to rip at Narzeal.

"Blast this thing is tough."
Narzeal shouted back as he went into a defensive position as the demon charged.

Kasey seemingly zoned out a bit while the truesight spell took effect, just scanning the classroom while the teacher droned on about beings that never existed outside of some priests fevered imagination. It was a bit of a surprise when the first demon floated through the ventilation shafts.. apparently no one had thought about warding the school, something to be done later and properly. As all hell (literally) broke loose in the room, he thought a strategic exit might be a good idea, especially with all the sounds coming from the classrooms around them.

As the demons started towards the MoH, he quickly drew up a pair of sigils. He slapped the first on the outer wall "BURST!!" he called out as the sigil bored a hole throught the wall.

"Move it or lose it people!" he shouted as he started clearing a path between L and the exit.

Mr. Silva looked up from his book to see his students acting out in such a peculiar manner. Either they had been possessed by Least Demons, or someone had been passing out Sugared Caramel Bombs behind his back. He quietly put the book down, ignoring the shouts, screams, and the exploding wall. Slowly he pulled a special book out of his bag. It was thick and old, with fraying edges of a leather cover.

When he spoke, it was never above a whisper, and yet all those that were not possessed could hear him as if he were standing right beside them.

Would all non-affected students please evacuate the classroom through the hole in the wall in a single-file line and report to the safe place. Do not worry about those that have been contaminated. It is the job of every teacher to protect his students, and I shall do just that.

The wind around his body began to pick up, the small tie that kept his hair in a ponytail came undone, and allowed his blonde hair to wave about his head. His blue eyes became tinted with a deep crimson, the redness coloring the edge of his irises.

A strong gust of wind pushed at the door, clicking it into place and activating the ward again. No new possessed students would be rushing into the room, and none of those possessed could leave either.

He stared down at the Mother of Hell, and then her protectors.

"...did I stutter, my students? Please leave. I will handle the riffraff."

Jimmy felt something... strange. He couldn't quite place it, but it tickled at first, and then it hurt, and then he had trouble controlling his limbs. And then, he started to realize that there was something trying to control him.

With a singular, ironically appropriate--considering Jimmy had no idea what was going on, shout of, "Go to hell!" the lesser demon was expelled from his body hard enough to send its non-body sliding through a wall and outside of the building.

Slowly he stood up from his desk only to be besieged by a random student, who was attempting to bite his arm. Jimmy pulled back his arm, balling his hand into a fist and let fire, smoothly shattering the boy's jaw and sending him plowing through a few desks and into another couple of students.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, dumb fucker?" Jimmy asked the prostate student before looking around and noticing everyone else was attacking as well.

"Scratch that... what the fuck is going on?" he asked no one in particular, as he looked around the panicked room.

Three students moving to attack Laurella fell to the ground paralyzed followed by some weird kid shouting something about having to leave.

"No shit!" was Jimmy's response as he swiftly slung Laurella onto his back and grabbed the other kid's arm, figuring he was probably alright, though he figured he should add a threat just for extra assurance: "If you start trying to bite, gouge, or claw anyone, I'll break your damn arm."

With a powerful kick to the torso, Jimmy sent another student flying through the room, knocking aside desks and other possessed students straight through to the hole in the wall. Infact, the boy he kicked continued THROUGH the hole in the wall and out the other side.

"Let's go," was all he said before running toward the hole, dragging the mage and carrying Laurella.

Astral Harmony 04-17-2007 01:17 PM

Laurella was about to retort with an "I can walk, you know?" but felt it was more appropriate to just keep her mouth shut and let Jimmy play her knight in shining armor.
Upon spotting the body of the student Jimmy had kicked through the hole laying on the grass, Laurella sighed. "Let's try to get through this fight without casualties. It'd be refreshing and we wouldn't have to hear on the news about how this relates to people playing 'murder simulation' video games." she joked lightly, all the while hoping that Jimmy wouldn't cop a feel while he had the perfect opportunity to.

Seeing the girl getting hauled out, Kasey pulled the second sigil and tossed it on the pile of rubble his "hole" had made.

"I'd get moving if I were you" Kasey shouted through the hole to anyone left inside.

7...8...9...10 Hell cultists had now fallen to the sniper, most of them magic users. But it seemed the fight was nearly over, there were no more in sight for Smith to kill.

"It's... over?" He was about to call over the coms and get a SitRep, when he heard, even from 700 metres away, the un-earthly growl of the blood summoned, followed by the sound of a rocket launcher.

Now he did call over the coms. "The demon, where is it!?" "East side!" Came the immediate response from the leader of one of the strike teams on the gorund.

Smith panned around and scanned the area. Sure enough, there it was, charging down the sword weilder Narzeal, or was it Narzeal charging down the demon? Whatever the case, the two clashed, preventing Smith from taking the shot. But he did have the time to reload. And so he did, with a rather "special" round.

And then the monstrosity was thrown back again, putting a good distance between Narzeal and itself. It looked like it was dead, but as the warrior with the flaming sword turned to walk away, it rose to it's feet again.

"My turn."

Smith pulled the trigger of his rifle, expelling the "special" round from the weapon. And why was this round special? It was made of solid silver, cast in a special mould and designed to penatrate flesh, but not to leave it. It was also filled with HE.

It smashed into what remained of the demon, and promtly exploded.
