I failed my driving test on Thursday. I am very pissed off about that.

Just thought I'd share that, if for no other reason than I'm bored and need something to type.

I'm going to the park, and it's a saturday.

Go being-active!

Demetrius 04-28-2007 02:51 PM

I'm at work and it's a Saturday... Go I hate having to work @ 6am Saturdays and Sundays. I don't shave, I barely shower, I get no sleep and I can't go out on weekend nights.

In other news I begin working out again Monday after my shoulder making nasty cracky noises everytime I did any presses.

I've got a regatta coming up tomorrow for rowing, and I'm a little worried about how well our boat will do. We'll be rowing against other lightweight Grade 9 & 10 boats, but I'm the only grade 10, so this bothers me a little. As new rowers go (I'm the only experienced one) we aren't bad, but our strength leaves a little to be desired. The race is on our home course, which is also the site of the National Regatta, so that's good, but I'm still not sure how well we'll row.

I was sitting around on my porch, very bored, whittling a piece of wood, when I noticed a squirrel on a nearby tree. I just chuck my knife at it, not expecting to hit it, and the knife, purely by chance, not only hits the squirrel, but hits it in the head and sticks in the tree.

It was AWESOME.

...And tasty.

Good luck to you, 42! I'm sure you'll do just fine.

As a requirement for a class I just had to pitch my (yet unmade) documentary to the head of programming at the state HQ for a broadcasting company.

Nervous? Hell yeah I was. But hopefully I did okay.

Also-- Starbuck's chocolate cupcakes are very average. I was hoping for something delicious, but Starbuck's has failed me. :(

For the same price of a Starbucks Chocolate Cupcake* I bought something that will last infinitely longer, taste infinitely better, and infinitely entertain me.

A Dreamcast.

VICTORY!

It was the first race of the season, so pretty small, and we have a small category, but we pulled ahead and kept the lead. I feel pretty good right now.

Mirai Gen 04-29-2007 02:37 PM

On the subject of feeling good...

I was at work, and it was another boring night. Blah. Then a few people come in - one guy and three girls - and, noticing how much of a dork I am (Since I had the Robots In Disguise shirt) invite me to drink with them.

Five hours later I'm making out with my new girlfriend in her truck. We're going to go see Spider Man 3 Thursday.

Random moments fucking own.

That doesn't sound too bad compared to when I was working as a cartpusher at Walmart and they'd schedule me to work on Friday night and Saturday night until midnight for ten hour shifts and then Sunday mornings starting at 9 AM. Having that same shift was ok when I was working at O'Charley's and making the my Walmart pay just from working one night, but at Walmart I had to put up with infinite times more bullshit.

In other news, I'm going to a 3 day concert thing this coming weekend. The line-up for it is awesome.
