Rumble: The Signup Thread

Rules of Rumble site

Or you can go to the interest thread for a good description for the rules as well. Located Here.

To sign up, send me a pm stating that you are signing up, and if you don't mind, include a power that you would like in the pool to bid for. If you don't want to create a power, or am unsure, just state so in the pm.

The amount of people that I am allowing in the first run is 15 people. However those that have posted in the interest thread already have spots reserved for them. They have 3 days to claim those spots, but that leaves 8 more for those that wish to play. I'm going to leave sign-ups for either a week or until full, whichever occurs first.

The players:
1.) B_real_shadows
2.) Ogianres
3.) Captain Combustible
4.) Long-Haired Narcissist
5.) Major Blood
6.) Barrel-Hating Sycophant
7.) Mr. Bookworm
8.) 42Petunias
9.) SecretSkull
10.) Demetrius
11.) Ecurt
12.) The SSB Intern
13.) fifthfiend
14.) Preturbed
15.) Axl

The powers:

Reflect: Spend 20 and choose a Hero. Damage that would be dealt to that hero is dealt to you, damage you would be dealt is dealt to that hero.

Sacrifice: Burn X% of your current energy, target Hero is dealt X% of their energy in damage. This damage is unstoppable.

Berserk Fury: Whenever your energy is reduced by x, in the next round, you have x extra energy you can spend for attacking. This energy is not added to your total energy.

Mind Reading: You may wait until attacks and defends are revealed to decide how to attack and defend. However, you still must use powers like normal.

Mental Blast: Burn X energy, deal X amount of damage to target hero, this damage is unstoppable.

Ridiculously Large Doomsday Gun: Burn 40 Energy. Inflict 100 points of unstoppable damage on one target player.

Titanium Skin: Prevent the first 50 damage you would take.

Chain Healing: Spend 15 energy: Gain 20 energy. Then divide 20 energy among the opposing Heroes. This power cannot be used to gain over 100 energy.

Ninja!: Your actions and energy are not revealed.

Tai-Chi: Spend 20: Choose an opponent. Add their defense to your defense. Usable once per round.

Odds are you’ll get hurt: Powers that deal damage to you deal half that damage.

Emo: Player spends turn crying about how girls never like him and life isn't fair. Player cannot be harmed by attacks during turn because attackers see what a big baby he is and decide he's not worth the effort. Player cannot attack due to spending turn curled up on the ground in the fetal position. Burn 5 energy per turn of use.

Antimatter Body: Whenever you take damage (including Burn), add it to your Energy instead. If you exceed 100 Energy, you explode.

King of No Pants: Attacks all players for ten energy due to come on, nobody wants to fuckin' see that. Player burns 10 energy resulting from seriously, put your fuckin' pants back on. Player attacks/defends during round as normal.

Bearasite: The amazing power of the most fearsome mammal has finally beeen unleashed at the cellular level! The user picks a number between 1-10. When the user successfully deals damage to an opponent through attacking, that opponent must be subject to a 1d10 roll every Allocation Phase; if the selected number turns up, the victim hyper-mutates beyond the threshold of human limitations and dies at the end of the subsequent Resolution Phase. The victim is alerted of the situation as soon as a dice roll turns positive and is granted 15 Energy due to Bear Power fully manifesting.

Okay people, send in your bids!

Sign me up.

I think I'd enjoy this, sign me up. When would you like powers by? Also during the combat stage... You can spend your entire energy, but is that it for that round? Do you have to save some energy for later to use your powers or is there another phase you haven't yet talked about (I can't use linkies, being at work and all)?

Each round you may spend all of your energy and you will get to spend it all again next round, If you take damage through defense you lose that much energy permantly.

example: I have 100 energy and attack someone for 70 damage and defend for 30, I get attacked by someone for 50 energy and I will lose 20 energy so I will have 80 energy to spend next round, If I then defend for 80 and get attacked for 50 again 0 energy would get through so I will get to spend 80 energy next round.

Some powers require you to burn energy and that energy will be lost.

Demetrius 04-24-2007 06:33 PM

When do you use powers that do not require energy?

Inbred Chocobo 04-24-2007 08:58 PM

Certain powers are just simple state based affects that occur when a condition is meet. For example

Second Wind: When your energy is reduced to 0, you appear in the next round with 20 energy.

Powers that do not require energy at all but are activated are still used as if they did require energy. Like for example

Defensive stance: You cannot attack this turn. Add 20 to your defense.

You would state in your pm telling of your actions that you are using Defensive stance.

Fifthfiend 04-26-2007 02:46 AM

Okay sure, sign me up.

Power: Emo.

Player spends turn crying about how girls never like him and life isn't fair. Player cannot be harmed by attacks during turn because attackers see what a big baby he is and decide he's not worth the effort. Player cannot attack due to spending turn curled up on the ground in the fetal position. Burns five energy per turn used due to player cutting himself.

Excellent, now I just need 2 more people before this shitwagon can hit the trail. As a note fifthfiend, most of the action takes place in pms, as who poses powers after bidding isn't revealed.

Fifthfiend 04-26-2007 07:41 PM

Really? Awwww, that's kinda less fun than I thought.

Inbred Chocobo 04-26-2007 08:40 PM

Well don't worry, I have an idea of how to make it more fun. But you guys will have to wait till the game starts to see it.
