AB I figured TB's SECA Investigator chick would be calling in backup...but I can if you'd like me to. The way it looks though the scene is pretty played out, Gael, Harm and Zack are all fresh, as is Loki's toon, so we are/have backup.

By and large, while it is technically the Mother of Hell's choice, the vast majority of people believe that getting the Mother of Hell pregnate at all falls squarely into the bad idea category.

The obvious bad one is the if the father is a demon. Except for the rare few (like Outcasts such as John), most demons are in thrall to a demon lord, and basically have no free will. It is generally accepted that (since no "true" half-demons are on record) at someone who has half-demonic blood would likely fall sway to a demon lord, who would more than likely have them open the Gates.

Having the father a human isn't seen as a much better option. Basically, the offspring of the Mother of Hell is going to be the #1 target of every demon looking to get ahead (even more so than the Mother of Hell), and will be easier to get than the Mother of Hell, since they just have to corrupt/trick/talk him/her into opening the Gates.

Yeah, there is the whole flipside to the prophesy...but most focus on the downside...because having an untold number of demons at full power invading the Earth is a huge downside.
