Transposed Characters (Spoilers!)

As people may have seen before, characters can be initiated with one game, but appear several years later as tough extra bosses in new games. A few good examples are below.

Lenneth from Valkyrie Profile
-- Appears in Sphere 211 After beating Star Ocean III
-- Appears as the secret recruit after beating Radiata Stories

Freya from Valkyrie Profile
-- Appears in the extra dragon cave dungeon near where Albel trains (if you didn't get him earlier) in SO3. She has over 3,000,000 HP and uses the Ethereal Blast move.

KOS-MOS from Xenosaga I, II and III
-- Appears in Namco X Capcom as shown in my avatar.

Fei Fong Wong (Fei) from Xenogears
-- Appears breifly in Xenosaga I during the time KOS-MOS saves the Elsa. Comes later as a freak child along with Elly.

Now onto the real discussion. Do you think it was wise for these companies to include past characters in new games? They are super tough to beat, and can cause hours of frustration (Especially Freya in SO3.)

I remember Culex from Super Mario RPG. I've heard he was a cameo from a Final Fantasy game, and it was the hardest boss in the game. He even had the elemental crystals in his team and he killed me a lot of times. The only way to beat it is to have a team of lv. 28 characters so you have a chance to beat him.

I loved fighting him.

Culex was fun, so was the theme for him. Anyway, I have an idea. Why don't you people discuss these things as well as post more of these transposed characters? Maybe a forum game for it would be a nice too, right?

I've got some more useless end ones:

Red from Red/Blue
-- Appeared in Gold/Silver/Crystal In Mt. Silver

Koga from Red/Blue/Yellow
-- Appeared as one of the Elite Four in G/S/C.

A bunch of FF7 Characters
-- Appeared in the KH Series

Although not quite transposed:

Claude's Clothing from Star Ocean: The 2nd Story
-- Appeared as 3P Clothing for Fayt
-- Appeared in Radiata Stories on Ganz during the times he was in the Void Community.

Hey, put in a spoiler warning for threads like these, okay?

I mean, some of this stuff a person might be playing some day!

I'll do it this time, but seriously, spoiler warnings are good.

Culex was NOT from any FF games, despite rumors to the contrary. He's not that hard to beat if you know how, though. I don't even have any game files where I decided to grind to 30, nevermind 28.

The only part of that fight was the music which is from FF4. And that fight is easy if you have the right equipment.

What about Smash Brothers? I am kidding, actually....

What's wrong with this happening?
It's a tribute to other games, or at least the characters. Some of it even makes sense, depending on who and what.

Jean Luc Cougar (of Winback) sort of appears in MGS2, as a dog tag.

Oh, I have no problem with this thread happening, but a lot of times companies throw in old characters as a hidden bonus for the fans, and the thread title is a little vague.

He wasn't from a specific Final Fantasy, he was however designed with the spirit of final fantasy in mind. I.E. He was a representation of a typical end-boss for a final fantasy game. Thus him coming complete with the four crystals (Is this really a spoiler if the game has been out for ten years?)
