How about a mercenary Al Bhed who wants to capture Raine (whoever she is?)

Just for fun, I'll make him speak like one of the GLA guys from C&C Generals -

Raine is the Summoner, aka, me. ^_^;; So you know how Al Bhed are trying to stop summoners on their pilgrimage, you could kidnap her and try and stop her... or something like that.

Or you could talk like the technician dudes from the original C&C.

"Yeah? Okay. Yeah? Okay. Yeah? Okay." etc.

And if Bahamut does that...I'll laugh my head off *imagines it in FF7*

Oooh I know. Maybe Dante could bring his ship in and pretend it's the boat we're supposed to be on, and Raine could get on by herself and then he'd try to take off without the Guardians, but they would take anotehr boat and chase him down, or catch up before he gets too far off of the shore and they could jump off of the dock and swim after the boat and save Raine...

or I dunno... any other ideas?

Could be closer to the time in RPG World where they accidently summon the intern instead of the full summon.

SMNR: I summon the power of... Bahamaut!

*There is a flash, and a small, green, wimpy looking dragon is sitting there*

SMNR: Who are you?

Bob: I'm... umm... Bob. I'm an intern under Mr. Bahamaut to become a full fledged summon.

These are obviosult the last two, since Forever's guy killed one in a hit and Stover is throwing them around like rag dolls.

I was figuring this is the beginning, so we are facing weak sinspawn. Tidus could kill the Zanarkind type ones in two or three hits, and Auron I thought could kill them in one or two. Besides, aren't a few of those you listed like mini-bosses? I know at least one was one you fight as Zanarkind as some sort of mini-boss...
