Jack Thompson sues... bloggers???
 

I wasn't sure where to put this, but this is quite possibly the single most ridiculous thing I've seen out of our good pal Jack. In fact, he might even sue me for starting this post.

Fortunately, the judge presiding over the case was NOT a lunatic, and dismissed the complaint righthere.

Most of this insanity began after Kotaku blogger Brian Crescente step-by-step picked Thompson's argument blaming Virginia Tech on Counterstrike apart right here.

Now, I'm not an expert, and I'm pretty sure he had already lost all credibility, but I think this was pushing the stupid lines even for him.

Yeah, Jack Thompson hates the idea that anyone might use their right of free speech to say anything offensive to him, so he's gone on a rampage to try and stop it, but is only succeding in making it harder on him. He should really just give up and retire, I see no success in his future.

...The hell?

I mean, seriously.

Jack needs to grow the fuck up.

He also needs to learn that the freaking First Amendment applies to everyone, not just him, so he can stop being a complete idiot. Also that being a complete jackass and having a vendetta is not accepted as evidence in a court of law.

In other, news, I appreciate the comment about "castrating Jack and shoving his balls down his throat", because that seems like what we'll need in order to get that fucking moron to shut the hell up.

EDIT: I apoligize for the negative tone of this, but I'm just goddamn tired of hearing about this asshole.

You've got to be kidding me. He's going after the internet now? It's a mass of faceless alias users, he's not gonna get anywhere doing this crap. I will say that his never-ending downward spiral towards madness has gotten pretty entertaining to watch.

I've got a speech today for my Speech Class talking about Jack Thompson. I have you guys to thank for such awesome ways to completely rape his credibility.

Not like I need to do anything, I just have to point out what he does, and the rest will just 'like as' itself.

So what, he's trying to get freedom of speech banned now too? AND the internet!?

What's next, sueing us for thinking bad thoughts about him? Existing on the material plane? Being born in the first place?!!

Oh please Jack, just go and die already for fucks sake.

That reminds me of how at the end of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, they beat up everyone who insulted them on the internet except Jack's using lawsuits.

It's really all because Jack knows the best way to get people to stop asking him questions is to threaten them with legal action. Unfortunately for him, it looks like there's more and more precedents appearing to prove that he is, in fact, insane, and that his suits won't get him anywhere. I'm pretty sure (well, I hope) it's going to get to a point when people will not even consider his suits anymore, since so many of them have been dismissed on their rather questionable logic.

I'm just glad that the anti-gaming lobby has chosen such an idiotic nutjob to be their face.

I should almost just start a running sticky thread somewhere, call it JACK THOMPSON, CRAZYASS MOTHERFUCKER

With luck, he might even notice it and try to sue Brian for propagating against him or something. That would rule.
