That's what people keep saying. Not sure why I haven't checked it out yet, I think it's just the name "Fooly Cooly" (or however you pronounce it) is off-putting for me somehow. It's like when Denny's or whereever that was had the Rooty Tooty Retarded-Ass Sounding Breakfast that I could never stoop to ordering no matter how tasty it looked.

It's a weird anime. Slightly perverted at moments. However it's not an anime for everyone, as some people might find the zany antics of insanity too much for their taste.

Either way it deserves a watch. Any anime fan needs to see this due to the fact that it was made with completely no hidden symbolism or message in an attempt to make fun of everyone reading too much into the creator's other anime.

Yes indeed, Fooly Cooly (or Furi Curi, whatever) is a truely entertaining peice of insanity. I recomend you watch it the way I did, all in one sitting, at one in the morning. And as ArlanKels said, it can be quite perverted at times.

You just have to watch it. It is like an anime version of invader zim.

There isn't even any hidden symbolism in making fun of people reading too much into it, by way of the Dad constantly going on about the Deep Mysteries of Eva.

Well there is the guitars=penis' thing, but that's not exactly hidden I guess.

But yeah it's pure humour, action, perversity and godly art direction.
