Bitchin, they got great actors, have it looking authentic to the original art, haven't too much, I hope they dont manage an Eragon with this one, cause it wioll be awesome if they dont.

I wonder if we'll ge tthe obligatory tie in game. If we do, I really hope it plays like Eragon or LOTR, those were pretty damn fine.

Dude.

Have you suddenly forgotten the D&D movie?

It may look nice, but I would be extremely wary about this.

It would actually have to go out of it's way and TRY to suck as much as the D&D movie (Jeremy Irons, whyyy.... Thora, WHYYY?)

I assume it'll be the Dragons of Whatever series being made into the movie, right?

Dragons+Season+Time of Day=TITLE

At least it's animated. It's hard to screw those up. It's not live action like the D&D movie, which also had a terrible plot, and that African-American comedian fellow.

Weiss and Hickman are writing the screenplay, it is very unlikley it will reach an Eragon level of butchery, most of the stuff htey had to cut would probably be somewhat unimportant.

I still deny that the book version of Eragon could be any good from what I saw in the movie. It seemed the most cliche kids story imaginable. With funny names besides. Apparently if you're writing for young adults you don't have to be original. John Christopher would roll over in his grave about this Paolini jerk. If I'd known that being 17 allows you to write unoriginal stuff and be on Letterman for it, I would've one-upped little Chrissy long ago. Unfortunately I'm 18 now, people won't care...

Personally I'm most excited about seeing the Battle of the Two Pots in Xak Tsaroth in this film.

Eragon (the book) is good if you expect it to not be original. I went in with low expectations and enjoyed it. Also, the book takes place over the course of like 2 years, and most of it is character developement, very little action. Basically Eragon learns how to fight and use magic and all the Rider history and such over that time period, and the battle at the end of the movie was cxompletely different in every way, and most, if not all the Brom stuff was completely altered. The movie is really, only like the book in the sense they have the same name. Also, Murtagh is like, a 25 year old man in the book, not a little teen shit.

Really, dont watch the movie, read the book, the book is much better, although, it is not very original.

They have released trailers for this movie and it is coming out on the 15th of January. I can't wait. I had my doubts but after seeing the trailers I think I am going to give this a shot.

Check out these clips from the movie.
