Which is better, A gamepad or keyboard/mouse.

Gamepad for the obvious reason that it was DESIGNED to play games with.

If you're talking about gamepads for PC games then I prefer keyboard/mouse set-ups. Although you usually have to configure the buttons around to your liking, you can usually set up so many short-cuts that it's just much easier to use than a gamepad.

No, I'm talking about like a 360 gamepad vs. a keyboard and mouse. All I hear from PC gamers when i rape them in Halo 2 is "if I had a keyboard and mouse I would so kill you!"

I'd prefer a game controller over anything anyday... I've been raised on it since I was about 6 or so (See my Post in your thread about when I started playing games.) I only played three games on the PC and about two on the MAC. Grandia II for the PC was hard to control, as I was so used to using a game controller for Grandia Games.

On the note of the Nintendo DS, I hate using the touch screen.

DS, a great idea gone horribly awry.

In first person shooters I like keyboard/mouse set-ups, however I still do just fine with a controller for games like Halo, Goldeneye, etc..

Otherwise whatever I'm given with I use and can usually adapt to pretty well and enjoy it regardless. If I'm playing God of War 2 on PS2 I don't go "Gee I really wish I could use a keyboard/mouse set-up, these controls are so limiting". At the same time though when I play Starcraft or Diablo on PC I don't think to myself "There's too many damned buttons, if only I had a controller."

On topic...

A game pad doesn't allow for the speed of reactions or precision required for FPS. That is why Halo blows hard, everything is dulled down and slowed down to allow for gamepad control.

That's the truth, because you could just as easily used the L/R buttons for rolling in Starfox on the DS. But no, ALL of the buttons make the ship shoot... what a waste of time. Pokémon has three modes for buttons. Mario 64 could use the buttons too.

That's stupid, what about FFXI?

As you are new here I will let you in on a big secret... Mods/admins/rules consider your last post spam and will warn you for it. Just a friendly FYI.

On Topic:
Not really lies, games designed for consoles and gamepads have to be less sensitive and slower in reactions, you literally only have 1" of room to cover your entire range of movement.
