My Article

Hey, I know I haven't posted on here in a long time, but I thought I'd throw you guys a link to my first editorial and see what you think. In my absence, I got 'hired' to write editorials for www.allrpg.com.

The first one went up a couple weeks ago and is located here:
http://www.allrpg.com/editorials/ffproblem.php3

I'd be pleased to know what you guys think of it.

hey, good work. well written and well thought out. i didnt think that "style" of writing was still practiced.

But Roger Ebert did make a movie.

Very good and I agree, but I'll keep Grim Fandango on its pedestal all the same, thank you very much.

I liked that article, Kefka. Hey, any info on maybe quote unquote freelance jobs or articles there? Heh. Just curious.

Forever Zero 02-18-2004 05:30 PM

Awsome job Kefka, I agree with almost everything you said (I disagree about FFX because of the sphere grid system, which I felt hurt the whole experience.). I'll look forward to any more articles you post in the future.

I like it...is it weird that I got a strange 'Tim Roger'-esque vibe-ish thingy? But that could be cuz I just read an article by him...

But yah, good stuff (Lunar still has its pedestal spot though)

EDIT: Also, Locke, you can apply for an editorial position, just click on the join staff button on the side menu.

Johnmy Socko: Thanks, I appreciate the feedback! What 'style' do you mean, exactly? :p

D.I.: Well, whaddya know. You're always good for that kind of info. Anyways, what did you think of the rest of it?

Meister: Don't feel bad. There's still plenty of games I'm guilty of keeping ona pedestal myself. Such as FF6, which the article showed quite plainly.

Locke: I'll let you know if anything comes up. The editorial section is (finally) locked up for good, but they're often looking for work elsewhere (new, previews, reviews, etc.).

Forever: Of course, everyone is due his own opinion. I can definitely see where you might not like FFX, even if I did.

Bite the Wax: Tim Rogers is like a god to me. :P I honestly haven't really tried writing in his style, but even that small of a comparison makes me swoon. :P

I liked the article alot. Of course that doesn't really mean alot since I can't write well so I'm always impressed when someone else does. That and I'm easily amused.( Hey look!! Some shiny tinfoil!!) I got more of a Dave Berry feeling from the article. On a sidenote would being anti-fanatic make me a Anti-Fanatic Fanatic. I Hate Paradoxes.
Spiffy Hates Paradoxes.

Good job. I had almost forgot about the awfulness of FF mystic quest.
