Maybe his armor is padded with phoenix down.

The game works like this:

If everyone dies, the first to die wins.
If someone lives, they win by default.
If two or more people live, they tie.
The ball refers to the arena they drown in, and fighter lived because he fell out of the ball (due to his amour).

You people make everything complicated -__-

I think you just made me do quite the double-take there. I instinctively read that in French, and WOW does it sound odd.
He fell out of the ball due to his love.
*snerk* Best typo ever.

Something about Pheonix downs.
No, no, no, everyone knows that training rounds don't count. No one gains EXP, no time passes, damage doesn't carry back over into the normal course of events and if you lose you can just re-spawn and start over immediately.

This occurs with most, if not all, minigame events. Training for a major plot point counts as a minigame, therefore it follows these rules.

The really stupid game of Maplestory (read: HORRIBLE EXP RATES = NO LEVELLING!) Had a thing where warriors recovered more health than other classes while at rest. Underwater, my warrior was actually recovering hp faster than the rate at which he was drowning. I could sit at the bottom of the ocean indefinitely.

If Drownball just requires drowning, I can't imagine it involving much as far as moving. So Fightar's survival could be entirely due to class features.

I though the French word for love is "adore" (as in the phrase "J'adore" meaning "I love")?

"Amour" would be the noun form of love, while "adorer" is the verb "to love."

Uh...hi.

I think being too stupid to drown is more of a black belt thing. So, I'll have to agree with the side that's saying he broke the glass sphere/gamefield. But, still, all other players had drowned already? Well, I suppose so, after all, they are professionals.

Well, in FFX-2, while playing Blitzball, characters could be injured, and yet still be able to fight just as well. Might be the same reasoning.
