Working on a pulp crime fighter for a future Atomic Robo story.

Everybody, this is "The Shoud", or "The Black Shroud", or whatever cool name Brian can come up with later.

I like most of the concept... but a white kerchief with a shamrock/club in the middle? Maybe move the club to cover where one eye would be or lower it so we see his eyes.

Well, I want him to either be blind or using some sort of "second sight" to fight crime, so I'd like to keep his eyes covered.

but I like the idea of moving the club (shamrock) to cover one eye. Originally it was a semi-egyptian eye, but that looked sort of strange.

EDIT: Took the Widget to the park and banged this out. Slightly more dapper looking, moved the club to cover his right eye.

Damn, I love either version. I can't help but think that he'd be cooler with a blank kerchief, but that's just me.

I like the jacket one better and I agree with Brian...a blank kerchief would be cooler

Clubs just don't say 'dapper, but will murder you' like spades do.

That loose corner down there is visually distracting...to me anyway. Also, wouldn't it tend to flutter about and blow up, revealing the face? I'd tuck it in.

Other than that, very interesting.

If you tucked it in it would lose visual appeal in that it would look just like any old mask. I'm not sure about positioning the club, it looks fine without it, but then the design could use the symbol. Maybe keep it in the middle and enlarge it?

Also, no jacket = win.

I think the jacket will come and go depending on the weather :). The second one is a bit tighters probably because I'd done him once before, so I had a better idea what I was trying for. But overall, I like the lines without the jacket better.

No tucking in the mask -Meister hit the nail on the head. YES it would flutter about . . if this wan't a comic book character. :D

Spade -vs- Club -I think I prefer the club just because the spade is used a LOT. And the club would look cool as a grouping of bullet holes. not in the mask exactly, but on some sort of backdrop art.

A blank mask? I'm not sure. I started out that way but my eye was drawn to all the other little things on his outfit. I find that having *something* on the mask (centered, over an eye, whatever) draws my own eyes to his otherwise blank face. But taht might just be me.

Any thoughts on other symbols to put on the mask?
