Things to do and see in Toronto.
I'll be visiting Toronto a lot in the near future. Aside from the obvious, what should I check out? The closer to Union Station, the better. (I'll be travelling by foot/subway.)
|
When exactly? Because there's an anime convention happening at the doubletree hotel and that building across the street from May 25-28th I think. Not a good time to go room booking. Also, be on the lookout for rampant numbers of cosplayers that weekend.
|
I'm actually going to that convention.

I think there is a really tall tower that BASE jumpers usually jump off of. If you are a BASE jumper, do that. Otherwise, Toronto is a pretty crappy city.

QFT =D (note this message has been said by someone from the western provinces) Actually, are you going to be in just Toronto, or will you be going elsewhere. |
Wonderland, Paramount, Center Island (?), the nightclubs, the Science Center, go see a play, go mug a crackhead. It's a big city, I'm sure there are some good restaurants too.
|
Go see Rocky Horror Picture Show and get molested by strangers. It's fun! I swear! You can also feed the homeless people in Kensignton market.
There's also the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario, if you're that type of tourist. The ROM is a pretty nice museum, but, well... It's a museum. |
The ROM is actually good no matter what kind of tourist you are- I reccomend it also.
I'm going to the convention too! =D as is my Mate and my pet! =D |
Aside from the good suggestions that have been made (and the haters that need to be smacked) there isn't too much I can add. Try the CN tower, although if you want to get up to the really high part, try a time where there won't be a big lineup - I sat in the line for 45 minutes, but seeing that great view was worth it.
