Square Arts Of Enix
I hope this isn't a dupe thread of this...
I've said this somewhere else I believe, but I think that Square Enix is starting to go and merge their shiny butts again. Either that, or Game Arts just loves them. You can see their most recent games by doing a search for Grandia Xtreme and Grandia III. The latter (Grandia III) also was helped along by Production I.G. I'd like to poll you all in if you would like such a thing to happen. |
I am opposed on the grounds that your proposed company title reduces Square to an adjective.
|
After all the shit they have been pulling off, I think Square doesn't even deserve to be a noun.
|
I hope they don't keep merging with more and more companies, increasing the size of their name and chances of being called a monopoly (if such a thing can be said about video game GENRES, I mean).

At least it's not Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Complete Version with Extra Blowjob Power Guaranteed.
As to the topic in question, no, I would not like for it to happen. Game Arts shouldn't bastardize itself with S-E for all I care. Maybe Enix, not Square. Hatin' Square is the new black. ;3 |

Also: Yeah, well, ever since EA stopped swallowing there needs to be a corporation resembling a killer whale, so Square nobly stepped in. I haven't given a shit about Square since Final Fantasy 6, so I don't care now either. |
So can we say that Square-Enix are the EA of shitty JRPGs and endless rehashes now?
|
I'll agree with that. All the remakes are starting to really piss me off, so I don't see why the comparison can't be made. Maybe FFXIII will be good, but given that they seem to just be throwing FFI - VII out over and over again, there's nothing for me to look forward to.

Tri-Square-Enix, man... it just will go downhill from there. By the way, Star Ocean EX has SQUARE ENIX in the copyright... but I thought that show was done when ENIX was still separate. |
