Warriors of the Elements

This was one of my first Roleplays that I participated WAY back in the day, and I enjoyed it much. However... it soon died. Well, I brought it up at Avariel, it was good, so I thought I'd bring back home.

(Credit to FlameCobra for letting me borrow the idea)

The date is today. The place is wherever you choose to start. Magic is essentially dead, except in fairy tales and video games. The world is pretty much peaceful place.

However, an unknown force had started to attack the very soul of the planet, an unknown battle to all on the earth. To the people on the earth, everything is fine. All the changes are due to the planet. Global warming, location of the sun and moon causing floods, greater erosion due to strong winds, but this was not the case. In fact, an unknown force had caused this great change in the earth by winning battles over the elements themselves. Slowly as they fell one by one, the earth became weaker, more fragile. Finally, they ecided that something had to be done.

As a desperate attempt to end this struggle, the Guardian has summoned the five elements to decide what to do. Earth, Fire, Water, Lightning, and Darkness. They have decided to bestow their powers to a chosen five. (That's the people that sign up!) They will be the ones to lead this planet to life, victory, and hopefully, eternal peace.

Note for characters, we are ordinary people. That's what made this great in the first place. If you need help, here is an example, the character I'm going to use.

MC43 02-20-2004 01:24 PM

I didn't say anything about making it. I just liked it is all, Hope you don't mind me borrowin' the idea...

Flarecobra 02-20-2004 01:27 PM

It kinda got implied. Well, would you like me in this?

MC43 02-20-2004 01:31 PM

Sure, if you'd like to be in it, oh... and uh... I'll fix it so you get the credit. I did it in Avariel...

Shame on me for not doing it here. Shame!

Psi_Zeta 02-20-2004 01:50 PM

Mmm it seems interesting do you mind if I join?

Edit: and if I could would Darkness be a viable option or do you have someone else in mind for it?

MC43 02-20-2004 01:54 PM

No... those are the elements of choice. As for you bein' in... hm... (Inspects for a while) Yeah all right... I'll let you in... I guess...[/joke]

Sure, come on in. But to note, it's first come first serve. Unless I allow exceptions... which I'm going to try and hold, but I do have a soft heart.

If not I'll just go away, say GOD DAMMIT!!! and I'll be fine. You don't have to let me in, it just looks like fun and I wanna join in.

MC43 02-20-2004 10:28 PM

(Shudders) I can't... must... keep... foot... down...

I'm sorry, But there is only room for five. I'd hate to let another in. I don't want the impression that I'm soft. Please don't hate me...

lazy man 02-20-2004 10:37 PM

That's alright, I just wanted to ask

(walks away) GOD DAMMIT!!!!!!!!!!.......oh well

Bite the Wax Tadpole 02-20-2004 10:51 PM

You could just add a Light element...

lazy man 02-20-2004 10:52 PM

He's not gonna do it, don't try

Bite the Wax Tadpole 02-20-2004 10:54 PM

I'm trying to help you lazy...everything seems to have a balance except Darkness (Fire to Water, Lighting to Earth...)

I really couldn't care, just thought I'd try and help...seems logical though...

lazy man 02-20-2004 10:55 PM

Nah, I'll be fine, it sounded cool, but he said no. And no means no, so I'll listen (sigh) oh well

Flarecobra 02-20-2004 11:01 PM

Actually, when I created this, It basically went like this.

shadow-fire-water-earth-wind-shadow

I think somewhere along the line Lightining replaced Wind.

Bite the Wax Tadpole 02-20-2004 11:02 PM

Why two shadows?

lazy man 02-20-2004 11:03 PM

Damn....I was thinking about being the wind element guy, not knowing that there wasn't a sixth element like the stupid person I am......stupid brain

MC43 02-20-2004 11:04 PM

Please people... Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill here... please.

lazy man 02-20-2004 11:06 PM

(salutes) YES SIR!! (walks away)

MC43 02-20-2004 11:07 PM

C'mon! I'm not tryin' to be an asshole... but I said five, and then no one else.

Flarecobra 02-20-2004 11:07 PM

Think of it as a circle, with the shadows showing where to start. You're just returning to where you started.

MC43 02-20-2004 11:09 PM

By the way... it's up and runnin' now.
