I'm a turtler in RTS games
 

Tesla coils.
Turret plasma guns.
Arrow towers.
A thick wall.

These are a few of my favorite things. I can never really be good at RTS games because I'm not very aggressive. Because when I am, my army seems to get chewed up.

So, who enjoys a good defensive perimeter?

(Also, any games that focus on this style of play would be greatly appreciated.)

Total Annihilation FTW.

I prefer to immedietly rush my opponent's base with my second builder unit and turtle inside their camp, it makes for more fun and keeps 'em busy while you build an attack force to crush them with.

One of my favorite tactics in the Craft games is to build up a huge defensive perimeter, and stockpile on an army...but send them away. Then, I'll wait for the enemy to be crushed under their assault against my giant walls, and overrun them.

I'm not very good at RTS games, so this isn't that great of a tactic. But it's fun.

I'm interested, but I'm pretty sure the specs are a bit out my range.

I was always about the brawlers in that. Brawlers were the greatest :O Plus, just running your commander around just going "D-GUN LAWLZ" pew pew.

Man, you guys just made me wanna dig up my old CDs from my Box o' Games. Seeing as how if I even attempted to look at Supreme Commander in a store my computer would just explode at that very moment. That or bluescreen of death.

TA is ancient. We're talking pre-Half Life ancient.

But if you've got a bitchin computer, Total Annihilation has this hot younger sister called Supreme Commander.

If it weren't for the fact I can almost guarantee I'd hate SupCom, I'd get it. Too micro managy for my taste, I prefer the "noob" RTS, like Warcraft and Starcraft.

Dude the build abilities and the fact that you can set units to follow and help and repair, set the AI response levels of your minions and download/make your own units makes this game awesome for all levels of play!

Really? I assume that it is extremely hard to do and requires extra applications to do so.
