Happened to be up at this time and thought I'd check up. The new episode caught me off guard. Fighter is more angry than I thought, and Lich is much more powerful than I suspected. The comic seems to be moving at a more faster, seemingly unorganized pace. Most of these last episodes take on a more serious tone. But now more than ever I'm compelled to read deeper and deeper into the series and re-play FF1. Keep up the great work.

Well, obviously Lich has gotten to the "Well, I'm half dead, not invincible...yep, seems a good time to show off" stage of the fight.

Aura shockwaves? Has brian been watching some DBZ? Anyway, this is turning into a much more serious battle then first expected. I expect this to go on for another week or two. And now you have proven that there can be drama in a comedy comic.

Oh! The drama of it all!

The rage has worn off. Fighter is angry, but some of his anger has delved into cockiness. He cannot win now, but he won't have to. Without the Earth Orb, Lich is probably gonna have to skeedaddle until a later date. He's lost his powers over the earth, probably it's dead and dead undead as well.

I was partially right, fighter was beating him senseless, he just happens to have more fight in him.

I don't think it blended together too well, one minute Lich is fighting, the next, an earth orb shows up from nowhere. i don't know what i'm talking about, but i'm positive that i'm right on whatever i just said.

Note that Red Mage was going to explain the appearance of the Orb, but Thief cuts him off. However, near as I can tell, Fighter knocked the Orb out of Lich's possession when he threw down upon him.

And as far as Fighter's anger degenerating into cockiness, I would say it was more to the effect of: Fighter whooped him (or so it would appear), Fighter not through venting, Fighter tells Lich to stand so he can get all the anger and hatred he feels out. Haven't you ever felt that way, you're so mad you beat the daylight out of an object or person, and you don't feel it was enough. It just so happens that Lich still had it in him to get up.

Hmm fighter knocked the orb out, i guess thats what the hell that clank was guess, and now lich is in the part of the battle where he does his big fancy attack thingy, with the big fancy 3-d lighting effects, and it does a whole buncha damage, or maybe bb will just show up and beat him senseless, i dunno whatdo you think

Seriously folks, every comic has at least one quotable line you can use in the topic title. USE THEM. I mean it.

Well, now we know (those of us who couldn't guess) that Lich was using the Earth Orb to cause the Earth Rot threatening Elfland. As elsewhere predicted, Thief thieves the Earth Orb. "Aquisition now!" has a similar ring as "Apocalypse now!"

Poor BM lies forgotten. Just like Vilbert! We still don't know if RM will be able to fix him, or if he'll lay there dead when WM arrives to scope out the aftermath. I'm betting they'll wind up leaving Vilbert under the armoire... Does this mean we've seen the last of everyone's favorite furniture? Will the Dark Warriors bring the unquenchable cabinet back to haunt them?
