OOC: I always did, she'd just cast firaga on my Ifrit, and I killed her...but yeah, the aeons are just representatives of the fayth. If there was only one per temple, thered be only one for each summoner, and then nobody would be High Summoner.

OOC: I saw it as that there is one aeon per temple (Because that just makes sense), and the Aeons go to who is calling them at the moment (Besides that last fight with her, you never use the same Aeon as another summoner at the moment). You didn't see Tidus in two places at once...

OOC: If that was true, why wouldn't they have at least tried making 1000 summoners and summon 1000 summons at the same time and blast Sin... (Don't say that it's hard to be a summoner... There was that bitch from FFX that was one, and the sissy Yuna, and that other guy...)

OOC: Because Sin would have shrugged all those off and killed 1000 summoners at once, only the one from Yunalesca could 'kill' it...

OOC: ... WTF did Ecurt just do... All I can say is if he splits off on his own summoner journey, my guy hates his guts pretty much, so I won't be following him...

Occupied with Ripel's summon, nobody noticed a slim golden sword arcing through the air, tumbling end over end as it fell. But they certainly noticed as it buried itself in the ground with a loud thunk between Raine and Rei, the summoner instinctively taking a step back from the glowing weapon. Suddenly, a man's voice rang out, coming from the beach.

"Ha ha ha ha ha!"

With almost weightless grace, a half-caped figure landed neatly upon the skull pommel of the sword, bracered arms folded across a plated chest. Though it appeared otherwise, he was actually balanced on one armored foot. He hopped off, settling upon the sand with elegant, contemptuous ease, then he paced in front of Raine, seeming to study her. With startling speed, he drew a hand in front of him... and bowed.

"Thank you for staying! My name is Yngwie, greatest swordsman of all Spira! As for you, Miss Raine... your journey ends here!"

He snatched up the sword, and like a gust of wind he was already behind Raine, the blade held in a warding posture in front of her.

OOC: They would have tried. The entire group of Crusaders try killing sin without the Final Summon, you think at some point they would have tried using a large number of non Final Summons...

Edit - What does warding mean?

Dezil had been coming up from behind and while he was temperarily distracted by the second summon, he noticed the golden flash and the odd figure, and heard him say, "...your journey ends here!" Dezil charged at him with the intent of slamming him out of the way, not having enough time for anything else.

ooc-Heh. I know what you mean, with two aeons being at the same place (I don't remember when two could be identical and appear at the same time). However, this is quite different from what they call aeons (all to be explained in due time and I call it an Aeon because I do not with to reveal its true nature yet), and his mission is not the pilgrimage. Think of him as Seymour...only not. Also, he'll be coming and going, and as he's not an actual summoner of the pilgrimage he won't need guardians. In fact, people may need to be guarded from him...

"Summoner? Me? I guess you could call me that, but you don't really have to. Now step aside Lady Summoner."

Ripel took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he concentrated. Then suddenly, a few moments later, his eyes opened and he pointed towards the tentacle Sinspawn. "Energy blast!"

A cry could be heard from above, coming from the Aeon that had flown up there. Soon after a beam of light shot down, striking the Sinspawn. The light it gave off grew bright and engulfed the groups of nearby sinscales, and people would have to shield their eyes to keep their sight.

When it dimmed Sin's spawn (and the near by scales) had been replaced with a crater that was quickly filling with water (which is the origin of Besaid's bay I might add), and Ripel was standing there grinning. Sweating and breathing hard, but he was grinning.

"That was a peace of cake. So are you guys going to deal with the clean up? I wanna get onto the boat...heh..."

Drake saw the man he assumed was an Al-Bhed and saw him as he stood behind Raine, apparently ready to strike. He moves fast, but hopefully my flying tackle will move faster! Drake thought as he leapt right at the man, blunt side of his halberd ready to hit him as he hit his target.

[OOC:] Assuming he actually DOES hit his target...somebody that fast could probably dodge unless they didn't see it coming.

EDIT: heh, I can see Drake and Dezil colliding...that'd be funny...[/OOC]

OOC: Maybe they did try the 1000 summoner thing once, and thats really how the crack at the Calm Lands appeared...

OOC: Yeah, I just noticed the same thing Mr. V...

OOC: And what is going on? Everyone's doing there thing at the same time... I'm just really freakin confused...

OOC: Ripel is a Seymour with super-powered 'aeons' and just killed all the sinspawn, and Dante is holding Raine prisoner (I don't think he's Al Bhed, cuz he either got excommunicated or something to that effect since hes using a sword instead of a gun)

OOC:Well, Dezil and Drake are about to tackle him, and I was about 99% sure the tentacle died about two pages before Ripel did his super summon...

Mitsu looked up at the new commer. and snapped his finger. A light sheen of frost appeared on the swordsman and he pulled Raine to safety.

OOC: I just summarize like I sees em...

ooc: Get off my back Bite. All I did is hit him with blizzard, not blizzara, not blizzaga. I don't know why you're so jealous of my charachter.

ooc-The actual Sinspawn (The tentacle thing where all the scales had come from) had not been defeated. Noone ever directly said so (otherwise I missed it), and because there were so many of the sin scales I guessed that the sinspawn was still producing them.

OOC: Hmm, I could have sworn someone defeated it, but I looked back and can't find it, so I guess not.

OOC: Pardon the late replies. My comp's been acting up.

BIC: The sword moved almsot of its own accord, the flat pushing him along as Yngwie shifted subtly, sending Dezil past the two of them. Shooting up again, it madde contact with the blunt edge of Drake's halberd, checking it and throwing the man off.

Mitsu snapped a finger, and suddenly, a layer of frost appeared on Yngwie. Mitsu took the opportunity to pull Raine to safety. Yngwie, however, merely smiled. Shattering the frost with his own fingersnap, he leapt forward like a sudden wind, gathering Raine up before Mitsu could hold on to her. Pivoting on one leg, he leapt up, twisting as he did, landing gently in the water, still holding on to Raine.

"It is useless, little man. You are too weak to take me on."

Dezil could feel his rage building up enough, but he couldn't manipulate his sword yet, so he wasn't ready. He focused on tapping his power and hoped to distract the strange figure, "Who are you, and what do you want with Raine?"

As he landed, two machina guns were aimed directly at his head, Rei's fingers pushing the triggers halfway down already.

OOC: Don't tell me your guy is going to turn into FF RP Dante MK-2, Dante...

ooc-^_^ Whee!

He blinked, realizing noone had answered him. Then, he figured out that something was happening behind him.

Spinning around he spotted Raine being held captive by some man. "Oh...so that's why you weren't talking Lady Summoner. Who might this fellow be? Not another guardian I hope.

"Tsk, tsk. Mister, you sure aren't making a good impression if you are indeed a guardian. First, you don't help out, and second you're holding Lady Raine extremely close to you. Not something a guardian should do, because it's really bad form, especially during a battle.

"I suggest you let her go."

OOC: EDIT: Well, the intent was there... but it's been edited, anyway.

"Me? None of your business, little man."

He didn't even bother turning to Rei, but spoke anyway.

"How sad. You would risk your charge's life just to hurt me? Hardly a gesture a defender would make."

OOC: He didn't fire, he is just ready to fire at any moment.

OOC: I believe IHMN had simple six shooter guns...

When he was brushed off, he felt his power peak, but he couldn't do anything while he held Raine. He hoped that someone got Raine away from this madman soon, because he had leapt out of range of retaliation from the Dezil, and he was too fast for Dezil to fight normally, he needed to tap his power..

"I beg to differ. You have no way of escaping. and if you hurt Raine, I will personally make you wish you had never been born."

OOC: WAIT. Let's get all this settled first. I don't post, nobody posts, we settle all of it. SO far, Yngwie's just holding Raine, Ecurt's lecturing him, Rei's about to shoot. Screw the dodge out of the way thing for now.

OOC: Even if he did try to dodge, Rei is a smarter Gunslinger then that...

OOC: And if Yngwie loses Raine, Dezil is going to unleash his overdrive on him...

ooc: How do you expect to dodge that? Your a starting character your evasion would be piss poor.

OOC: He's an evil boss, he has higher stats then us, but as a team you can still whup a boss...

OOC: Hmm...me and Argoth could go rogue, join up with Dante and Ecurt, and be the evil party...he he he...

ooc: Didn't we just have a boss fight? I thought it was an unwritten rule you had to be healed up before each boss fight.

OOC: Well, think of this as a two-part boss fight... and it's not goign to be much of a fight.

BIC:

"No way to escape? You must be as dumb as you are weak. "

"And you are all wet." The water spell hit him and Raine seperating the two.

"You annoy me, little man. It will seem you must learn a lesson in humility."

Pulling a small sphere from his belt, Yngwie tossed it at Raine. It burst in a flash of light, and suddenly a shimmering energy globe surrounded her. Yngwie nodded, then turned back to the others, sword spinning lazily in slow, glowing arcs.

"Come then. Let us begin."

"You want to begin? Fine, let's get this party started right then! Fury Cutter!" Dezil shoated. Suddenly his sword was covered in fire, and he leapt at the newcomer with inhuman speed, as fast as him even. Before he could react, Dezil swung his massive sword like it was the weight of a feather. He brought it down agian and again, a dozen times in the blink of an eye, over and over, and after a few seconds of this assault, he leapt back and pointed his sword at the strange man, and a beam of fire shot out and enveloped him, hurling back sand and water with the fury of the attack. Dezil then leapt back to land, but nearly collapsed from exhaustine of using the high powered move. "Did... that... get... him?" He gasped out.

"H-Hey!" Raine said, pounding on her sphere-like prison, "Lemme out of here now!" She looked upwords as she noticed her Valefor was flying around, distressed at his master being held captive.

(OOC: I'm just gonna say multiple summons can be used at once, because think about it, what if in FFX you were fighting Seymour and you were like, "Oh crap, Bahamut is my last hope!" so you try to summon it... but some loser Summoner is casting it elsewhere just for kicks.)

As Dezil came down on him, Yngwie's face lost its smile. The golden sword flashed up, deflecting each stroke as quickly as it came, but the power behind the massive sword was still evident, each hit driving Yngwie back. Suddenly the pressure lifted, and Yngwie brought his own sword out in a block against the inevitable hit.

The fire enveloped him, casting him back into the water. His armor shimmered, radiating most of the deadly power away before it could seriously harm him. Still, he had to admit, he was hurt. And this Dezil... he was good.

"Not bad, little man. But hardly enough!"

Yngwie blurred into a spray of images, ghosts and shadows of the swordsman swirling around him as he sprang at Dezil.

"Now then... sleep forever!"

Suddenly a bolt of lightning struck the swordsman. Mitsu's red eyes folloing him.

"Yeaargh! A little help here!" Dezil said. He was tired from unleashing that last attack, but he was able to drag himself to his feet and kept his sword at a defensive stance, ready to block the assault of the small army of Al-Bhed warriors. They surrounded him, and he tried to watch them all, not knowing which was real or not. "Guys... Reinforcements any time..." Dezil said, fairly certain he wouldn't be able to keep this assault back alone.

"I hit him with thunder what more do you want from me?"

OOC: I'm hoping that you're not being extremely cheap and status alignment immune...

IC:
Rei aimed one of his guns at the man attacking Dezil (Are you in mid jump or something? And if there are supposed to be many images, he is shooting at the voice). A green bullet shot out of the guns barrel. Another bullet was quickly taking it's place.

OOC: Another note, as mentioned before, Rei's gun reload themselves magically. The bullets are blunt and not lethal (They would leave bruises, not penatrate). The majore point of them is to cause status alignments. So it just needs to hit anything on your guy.

The image that Mitsu had hit faded away, fading away into the ether along witht he bolt.

"Yes, you. Now, it is your turn."

Yngwie hurled a small round object out at Mitsu, at the same time advancing amidst a miasma of illusions at the wizard. A dozen golden swords raised themselves simulataneously as the swordsman seemed the explode forward at Mitsu.

OOC: He's a ventriloquist? And please don't tell me he's supposed to be faster then a bullet...

Dezil took advantage of the mystic swordsmen changing direction, and leapt at some of them, making three disappear like smoke, and reducing the number to nine. He then leapt and made another disappear, but eight was still a lot of illusions.

ooc: Magic doesn't miss. did you even play the game?

Mitsu stood his ground readying his hammer.

(He may be Vash. You just don't know)

Jason had been two dunes away, running down 4 sinscales that had decided to run. Imagine his suprise to see what seemed to be a powerful made reeking general havoc all around. And I'm the one who said we need to always be near Raine to protect her. Irony! Well, I've got all my knives, I'm unhurt--sort of. That only means one thing.

He readied 6 knives, threw two at the nearest targets, and charged forward, throwing the other 4 in pairs.

OOC: My guy would be the Vash of this group... But with two guns.

("You don't get jokes, do you?"
"What? Of course I get jokes!")

ooc: 150 ice+150water+400overdrive+x bullet dammage= 700=2x dammage. He can't have more than 1000 hit points yet so.

(OOC: don't get all mad at each other, we're all posting at the same time anyway)

Raine watched helplessly as the Al Bhed was fighting her friends, "No, I can't just watch... I gotta get out of here.." She said as she started pounding at the walls of her prison with her fists, but to no avail.

OOC: If the caster aims it wrongly and hits one of multiple images (the effect around Yngwie is similar to a mirror image) it still misses.

BIC:

Rei fired, and the green bullet hurtled through the air at Yngwie. The man began a parry, then aborted and decided to let his armor take it. As it hit, it was repelled by the same pulse of blue light which had deflected Mitsu's earlier Blizzard.

"Poison rounds? Hardly sporting."

Then he was upon Mitsu, every single one of the eight images rolling, spinning and diving. Before Mitsu could react effectively, his feet were swept out from under him, the hammer wrested out of his grip by Yngwie and tossed aside.

Then he was forced to break away as Drake brought his halberd down on the Yngwie holding the hammer, correctly deducing the real one fromn the confusing spray of images.

"Hmm. It would seem I have underestimated you. No matter. It is still not too late for her."

He stamped once, and the images vanished simultaneously, leaving only a somewhat scorched Yngwie standing beside the fallen Mitsu.

"Call it what you like... but we will meet again."

He leaped again, toward the ocean, and as he did, he snapped his fingers. A small vehicle resembling a golden dragonfly surfaced from under the waves. Yngwie landed in a tight crouch. teh dragonfly's wings fluttered, then it took off, rapidly fading into the distance.

OOC: It was poison... FFX doesn't have toad.

OOC: Edited.

As the strange figure finally took off under the assault of the Guardians, there was a stunned moment of silence. Then there was a fain noise, and Dezil looked to see Raine still trapped in the bubble. "Lady Raine!" Dezil said, running to the bubble. "Err, I'm no mage, so I don't know how to get rid of this bubble thing." Dezil said somewhat sheepishly. Then he turned and yelled, "How is Mitsu? Is he okay?"

Rei walked up to the sphere. "It's a sphere, they aren't that hard to turn off." Rei lifted his arm to turn off the sphere.

OOC: Celes' chooses if it is infact just a normal sphere and that works...

"Wait...is that it? Are we done here?...man, that asshole better not still have one of my knives stuck in him. I paid good money for those...I think. Oh well." He turned his attention to the sphere surrounding Raine.

OOC: I figured it was some sort of magic sphere is why he was calling for the mage and seeing if he was alright, and my guy has his super sword skills, but he isn't a mage.

"Well...that was semi-amusing." Knowing that there was little left to do, Ripel headed for the boat. While he couldn't be sure what Lady Raine and her guardians wanted to do, he personally wanted to get on with his own journey.

(OOC: we'll just say the sphere will turn off, like IHMN did)

With an 'oof' Raine fell to the ground after Rei turned off the sphere. "Oww." she said, picking herself up off of the ground.
Before anyone else had a chance to do something Valefor flew up by her side, worried. She smiled and stroked Valefor's head, then dismissed the Aeon so it could heal itself from the battle.
She then turned to her guardians and bowed, "Thank you."

Dezil smiled and said, "It's no problem, we are your Guardians, our duty is to give our lives to protect you." At this Dezil blushed, being mildly less serious now that he had joined the group and asked, "Hmm, well, does this mean I'm not an unofficial Guardian anymore and I'm official now?"

"Ok...hmmm..." Jason was walking around the beach looking for his thrown knives. "Ok...Goddamnit, I'm missing one. Anyone see it? Or...uh...step on it?"

Raine smiled and bowed again, "I would be honored to have you as one of my Guardians Dezil." She turned to the boat, "Now, what do you all say we get back on the road?"

(OOC: you can keep posting, but keep in mind, new chapter soon.)

Dezil smiled and said, "I won't let you down Lady Raine. And considering the massive detour we just went through, it might be best to get back on the road as soon as possible. We can rest on the boat on the way to the next town, because I don't think we saw the last of that joker from today..."

Mitsu was hurt pretty bad. He raised an arm covered in sand and blood. "Medic!"
