Nikose missed the rope barely, and looked at it quizically.

"Nu." He stepped away and resumed his more somber demeanor.

Raggy immediately vanished the second the battle actually began. At the very same instant every empty seat in the arena was suddenly filled by him/her/it. After all it would be bad publicity for this event not to look sold out.

Melfice had noticed the snare as well, and decided to lift the box to see what or who was hiding underneath it.

"Gentlemen, I believe caution would be wise, for I do not know what might happen next."

He propped his sword underneath it, and gently lifted a side.

K36 noticed that he had been standing next to a box, instead of opening it he rammed his shotgun through the side and pulled the trigger. "Those triplet guys are in three of these, and at least a few of them are traps. We should make a pile and blow them all up at once."

Lifting the box revealed that there there was a small mechanical arm made out of K'Nex and Legos.

The arm waved.

The box which had been shot turned out to have been full of Nikose's laundry.

Nikose went over to K36 and looked at this laundry.

"Eh, no big loss. I have like 50 uniforms of those anyway."

"Hmph. Such a mockery, but intricate construction. Still, it proves a hazard."

Melfice kicked the arm, but decided to run away fast, in case there were any more booby traps in this box.

"Such a poor fighter, to rely on such trickery to beat an other person."

Ugainius stabbed a nearby box with his sword. Nothing happened.

"Do not diminish the place of quality trickery in battle, Melfice," Fenris said. "It's how I get around these days. Why fight with your body when you can make them fight themselves? Why fight when you can outhink your opponent?"

Fenris was still waiting for the explosion that signaled the end of the initial blows.
